TURBO CHARGED DIESEL ENGINE & POWER GENERATION
PREPARED BY: SHAKTI PRASAD DASH P. RAKESH SIBA KUMAR SAHU MECHANICAL BRANCH DILLIP EKKA GIET,GUNUPUR
TURBO CHARGING COMPONENTS
• TURBINE• COMPRESSOR• ESP(ELECTO-STATIC
PRECIPITATOR)• INTER-COOLER• AIR CLENAER
INBUILT & ADDITIONAL FITTED turbo
POSITIONING:
TURBOCHARGER
FUNCTIONS:
• Boosting the inlet pressure• Decreasing the restrictions of air
flow• Increase volumetric efficiency• Enhancing the speed and power
PURPOSE:
• NORMALISING• BOOSTING
NORMALISING:
• Compensate for thinner Air• Waste gate valve by-pass turbo
boost • Normal Power at high Altitudes• Quieter Exhaust, better
combustions and emissions
BOOSTING:
• More Oxygen / Increased Fuel Setting
• Higher Power • Better Combustion• Better Fuel Economy• Cleaner Emissions• Quieter
DESIGN:
TURBINE:
• Receives dust free exhaust gas under high pressure from ESP
COMPRESSOR:
• Using the shaft power of turbine it compress the atmospheric air.
CATALYTIC CONVERTER
ESP:
• It traps all the dust particles present in the exhaust.
AIR FILTER:
