Around the District

Shout out to the youth at Lewis Memorial United Methodist Church, Calhoun City, MS! They put together shoeboxes during the 2019 Christmas season! This is an annual event for the youth and they shop for the items that were included!

Shout out to the congregation at Mooreville UMC! As part of their worship on January 19, 2020, they "left the building" and visited some of their shut-ins, stocked shelves at St. Luke Food pantry, and took snacks to the NICU and ICU waiting areas. Being the hands and feet of Jesus!

The upper elementary Sunday school class at Pontotoc FUMC visited with Mrs. Pat Campbell to deliver the love offering the

children collected for her after she lost her home to a fire in November.

Crossroads Prayer Retreat CPR started in December 2017 as a nonprofit in Rev. Ginger Jones Holland’s heart— she left Cornerstone UMC in June 2018 and received 160 acres for the 501c3 non-profit that October. Three Amish cabins are ready to be completed and the worship barn is under way! The views are going to be spectacular!! We have had a few volunteers but are mostly using hired contractor and crew. We really need volunteer help finishing out the cabins since the expense is always more than projected! Pastors and their families, women’s groups, men’s groups, church staff and families will be able to use the facilities here There are lots of opportunities for workshops and amazing worship, concerts, healing— all in the Lord’s presence Please come help us! Please come enjoy! NEED HELP! Varnishing walls (easy) Finishing plumbing in 2 cabins Putting wood skirting around 2 cabins (open to other material) Need steps built for 2 cabins 269 Poindexter Rd Michie, TN 38357 (8 miles east of Corinth- 14 miles from Pickwick off Hwy 350) www.crossroadspray.com FB Crossroads Prayer Retreat Rev Ginger Jones Holland 661-610-5313 [email protected]

In our increasingly fast-paced world, we don’t take time to slow down, leave behind the noise of news and social media and set apart quiet time to talk with God and hear His

voice.

‘Reflections,' a video blog set to air every two weeks, is an opportunity to commit to regular devotion

and discernment on how we can grow as disciples and make disciples in the midst of tension in the world, at our jobs, in our churches and in our homes. To listen, visit https://www.mississippi-umc.org/reflections.
