Descartes Project OneFace Descartes is investigating ways to improve and harmonize the

user experience of our solutions. This year we launched the OneFace Framework project to research user-interface technology. A number of key Descartes applications were analyzed by a consultancy group specializing in usability. The analysis of the applications served as input for a new unified user interface style guide. The OneFace framework encompasses single-sign-on, cross-application navigation and a more consistent experience that will make it easier for users to combine Descartes applications to accomplish day-to-day tasks. OneFace uses state-of-the-art techniques to improve productivity and interactivity. OneFace is also taking characteristics of non-desktop devices into account to improve usability and reduce training requirements for mobile workers.
