Welcome to the London Classical Guitar Festival Now in its 5th year, the LCGF is London’s only festival dedicated solely to the classical guitar, celebrating its Latin roots with a feast of music from Spain, Portugal and Latin America performed by leading artists from around the world. Organised by ILAMS (the Iberian and Latin American Music Society) in collaboration with the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the Festival has its natural home at the Bolívar Hall, with an acoustic unrivalled in the UK for classical guitar, and a vibrant atmosphere in which to enjoy this repertoire. The guitar is at the heart of Latin classical music culture, so for anyone wishing to become better acquainted with Iberican classical music the LCGF is a ‘must’. How to book Admission to all events is FREE to the general public with no booking required. The LCGF is always well attended so you are advised to arrive early to avoid disappointment. Seat reservations are available to ILAMS members by email to [email protected]. Patrons are invited to make a voluntary exit donation, which helps us to cover our costs and secure the future of the Festival for another year. Rebecca Baulch and David Black are both prize-winning graduates of the Royal College of Music. Following the sell-out launch of their debut CD, The Raw and the Cooked, in 2007 they have become one of Britain’s best-loved guitar duos, performing widely both across the UK and worldwide. Always committed ambassadors of British guitar repertoire, the Albach Duo present a programme of home-grown works alongside Spanish and Argentine pieces, including some tango favourites.

Duo Diez is an exciting new musical collaboration between guitarist, Dimitris Dekavallas, and violinist, Violeta Barrena, who met at the Royal Academy of Music as students and have since both established themselves as leading soloists of their generation. They offer a sparkling, cosmopolitan programme borne from a deep, shared interest in Spanish and Latin American classical music.
