    PRINCIPAL NEWS

Year 6 End of Year Activities

After careful consideration, the stage 3 team have

come up with an interesting range of activities to

celebrate the milestone of completing primary

school. Year 6 will engage in a special fun activity

    day, followed by their farewell dinner and disco;

christening the new school hall with the big

occasion. Unfortunately due to the distancing

requirements for our large group, no parents will be

allowed on site, but we are trying to arrange for

socially distanced photos to be taken as students

enter the school. More information to come.

An information page has been sent home to all Year

6 students and we have already received many

responses to the questionnaire. If you have not

already done so, please respond as soon as

possible so that final plans can be made. I know this

will be a fantastic event for all of year 6.

    Awards and Presentations: Celebration of

    Achievement

The staff and I are now planning for the stage 2 and

3 presentation assemblies: our “Celebration of

Achievement”. This, too, will look very different this

year. In order to have parents on site to celebrate

this event, our student body will not be able to

attend in person. The event will be recorded for

internal use and zoomed live into each classroom.

While explicit details will be provided for those

attending, here is a brief summary of what this

    would look like:

Award recipients will attend, only for the time

that they are being presented the award.

For those receiving awards, parents will

receive an invitation via Seesaw, inviting them

    to attend the presentation.

Attendees will have to register attendance via

    a google form.

Max. of 2 adults per student. No toddlers or

other siblings as they then add to the square

metre rule. (A baby in a pram would equal an

    adult place).

There will be no dance or band performances

during the presentations, (they also are part of

    the square metre rule).

Attendees must remain seated for the entire

presentation, can not leave prior to

    completion.

The recorded zoom will be available via

Seesaw as this is a private “class” platform.

Information for Stage 1 and Early Stage 1

Presentations will be sent out to families via

Seesaw. Traditionally these classes have not

received specific academic awards, therefore stage

assemblies will look different to stage 2 and 3.

I hope you all know and understand that we are

doing our best, in difficult circumstances, to include

    parents where we can.
