Monday— 25 to 30 minutes:• Using your understanding of the assigned primary sources, your
responses to the questions, and your individual research, create a concept map on chart paper or poster board.
– Use pictures, symbols, and words to represent the information learned regarding the specific philosophy (Puritans, Revolutionaries, Transcendentalists)
– include a copy or a created image of the additional primary sources/research sources you locate. Include characteristics of the philosophy, major writings, historical and modern connections, and key people on your poster.
Tuesday 11Cp Presentations: two steps
• 15 minutes: Present the map to your historical group (all Puritans together, all Revolutionaries together, all Transcendentalists together). Make any additions or changes—be inspired by each other.
• 30 minutes: Move into a jigsaw group with one Puritan poster, one Revolutionary poster, and one Transcendentalist poster. Mrs. Christiansen will group you. Each group is responsible for giving its group a comprehensive overview of its assigned philosophy.
