The RYA VHF Short-Range Certificate Course is a 1-Day Course, which aims to provide as much knowledge about the purpose and operation of marine radio communications at sea. During your time in the classroom, you will cover all radio procedures from routine calls to urgency and distress calls, and demonstrate an understanding of all the principals and procedures involved in effective radio communications, including the new GMDSS (Global Maritime Distress and Safety System) requirements and equipment.

"If you have a marine VHF Radio-Telephone then you are required under law to use it whilst at sea and to have the appropriate training and licenses unless you are under the direct supervision of a person who does..."

The RYA Diesel Engine Maintenance Course provides absolutely essential knowledge for the sailor at sea holding the safety of his family and vessel as high priority. This 1-day course covers all the basics of engine maintenance, fault diagnosis and repair. The course does not assume any prior knowledge and consists of basic written exercises, a computer slide show and video presentation using a classroom diesel engine, and a working engine at our on-site facility.

On successful completion of this course you will be awarded with an internationally recognised qualification of your RYA Certificate.
