THE MEETING OF GLOBAL COLLABORATION

MAKE THE MOST OF A RESILIENT AND LUCRATIVE INDUSTRY

Those who attended IHIF 2016 in March in Berlin were largely unanimous in their feedback that there was a very positive and up-beat feeling amongst the industry, and they left Berlin with a much more positive outlook and optimism for the future than there has been for a few years.

Optimism about hotel development, financing and property values prevailed among the 2,000 delegates from 73 countries who attended the 2016 International Hotel Investment Forum (IHIF) Those who attended in March in Berlin were largely unanimous in their feedback that there was a very positive and up-beat feeling amongst the industry, and they left Berlin with a great deal more optimism for the future than there has been for a few years.

Several industry leading speakers commented that we are “entering the golden age of hospitality” and the energy and enthusiasm felt amongst delegates, speakers and sponsors certainly reflected this sentiment.

The positive tone was reflected in presentations by 200 speakers during the three-day event. There was consensus that property values are increasing, banks are more willing to lend at sensible loan-to-value ratios and substantial growth in the Asia Pacific region will continue to dominate the development agenda.

he event is a true global gathering and consistently brings together a diverse range of stakeholders from across the hospitality, property and investment communities. The importance of a global perspective and reach has never been more important than today in a world where the pace of political, economic, social, technological and capital structures is constantly changing. IHIF is seen by many as an essential

ingredient for success within our industry and the importance of attending cannot be underestimated. For three days the most senior and influential members of the hotel community gathered in Berlin for unrivalled networking opportunities, outstanding evening receptions, an exhibition and the very best educational programme. Perhaps most importantly though, is the understanding that in attending IHIF, you are immersing yourself in an environment with others who are serious about doing business, completing deals and forging productive business relationships.

Taking advantage of this resilient industry means there is potential for growth for those companies who also have the foresight to use the correct platforms to present themselves as leaders and to make every opportunity to meet potential business partners. We can help. The IHIF is the leading global meeting place for the hotel investment community. By becoming a sponsor of the IHIF your company will be given the very best possible opportunities to position yourself, not just in Europe, but to the Worldwide industry. IHIF delivers a world-class three day conference, bringing the global industry together in a first-class location, to deliver the very best educational programme, outstanding networking opportunities and the most senior level people in the industry, aimed at helping you expand your business. As Chris Nassetta said on the stage at IHIF “the next 10-20 years are going to be spectacular for our industry” – we hope you make the most of it.

The meeting place and event for those who matter.SCOTT ANTEL, DLA PIPER

THE MEETING OF GLOBAL COLLABORATION

HOW MANY HOURS DO YOU SPEND MAKING CALLS AND ORGANISING MEETINGS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD?

You can conduct more business meetings in just three days than a year’s worth of sales calls by sponsoring IHIF. You will have access to some of the most influential decision-makers and potential business partners and will be playing an integral part in shaping the future of our industry.

IHIF is such a tightly focused event, you have two thousand people within one building for three days, that are effectively all within a tight focused industry area. There simply is nothing else that gives that focus and depth of knowledge and interest, which is why we have been a sponsor for many yearsCLIVE HILLIER, CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER, VISION HOSPITALITY ASSET MANAGEMENT

A Sponsorship positions your company as a leader and influencer in the industry and puts you on a level with the key leaders in our industry. IHIF has a very high sponsorship re-sign rate because our Sponsors believe IHIF to be instrumental in their business deals and include the event as a crucial part of their marketing plan. A partnership with us isn’t just for three days. As well as all the benefits and opportunities you will have at IHIF in March, you will also be invited to our Sponsors Dinner held in London in December and to our Advisory Board meeting in Lausanne. Both events have a very exclusive audience andare open only to Sponsoring companies.

Promotion of your company begins as soon as you commit to sponsorship, so the sooner you sign up, the more promotion you will get. Please see page 12 for a list of the benefits that your company will receive as a sponsor.

Your opportunity to help shape our industryFrom the very outset of producing IHIF, our mission has always been to create the Hotel Investment event for the market by the market. IHIF relies on the industry, through our sponsoring companies, to help generate what is a very powerful event in the industry’s calendar. As a Sponsor we will call on your company to influence the direction and content of IHIF. Each year a member from each of our sponsoring companies is invited to Lausanne, Switzerland to attend our Advisory Board meeting. This is where the programme and direction for the following year’s IHIF begins. Being listed on the IHIF exclusive Advisory Board and being seen as a key player for shaping this event is great company promotion in itself.

We sincerely hope you will be joining us next year.

THE MEETING OF GLOBAL COLLABORATION

JOIN THE GROUP OF ELITE WHO SPONSOR IHIF

The IHIF has a reputation as the leading meeting place for senior level executives from all areas of the industry and from all across the World. No other event attracts both the high level and wide breadth of attendees as IHIF.

IHIF is visited by more hotel chain CEOs and more investors than any other event. That so many attend is testament to the power and influence of IHIF and its Sponsors. Sponsorship allows you access to this valuable audience and offers an exceptional opportunity for your company.

By becoming a sponsor, you will be putting your company’s services in front of:

Investors Hotel Owners Lenders  Hotel Chain CEOs and Executives Financial Advisers Real Estate Agents Lawyers

Designers Architects Consultants Tourism Officials Timeshare Developers Government Officials

IHIF is the number one meeting place for anyone who is anyone in our industry. The content on the various panels is very interesting but for me the real value is the networking outside of that. Corinthia sponsor the event because meeting people face-to-face is the key to successful business, and at IHIF you can get a lot more done in two days that you would typically get in one hundred days of travelling throughout the year.PAUL PISANI, SVP, CORINTHIA HOTELS
