Level 1 License to Practice Mandatory Units:
To be awarded CPSS Mandatory unit (LTP) accreditation, the minimum requirement is to complete the three skills.
Description:
The CPSS 2.0 MU’s are suitable for anyone regardless if new or a seasoned cleaning operative.
The CPSS 2.0 MU’s provides the opportunity to return to learning, the hands on accredited training and the skills
needed to work safely within the cleaning industry.
The skill set is:
MU1 Chemical competence
MU2 Safe assembly of equipment
MU3 Storage of equipment and materials
Objectives:
To demonstrate that the candidate can dilute a range of cleaning agents into a minimum of three various sized
containers
To be able to safely assemble a minimum of three items of equipment, one of which will be electrical
To be able to understand and organize a temporary or permanent cleaning store
To raise cleaning standards
To enable the candidate to work in a safe manner

*SU2 assessment is conducted with a maximum
of 2 candidates at a time. The assessment will
last approximately 4 hours
Level 2 CBICSc – CPSS Practical Cleaning Specialist Skills:
To be awarded CPSS 2.0 Specialist unit accreditation, the minimum requirement is to complete the three
Mandatory units first. Once complete the candidate can move onto the specialist skills. The skills in this section can
be taken as individual skills due to their specialist nature. The candidate must ensure that they have been
certificated in associated skills which are outlined in the rules of engagement. (What are these and where are they
to be found?)
Description:
The CPSS 2.0 is suitable for anyone involved in the cleaning industry including cleaning operatives, housekeepers,
supervisors, managers, team leaders and apprentices.
The CPSS 2.0 provides the opportunity to return to learning the hands-on accredited training and the skills needed
to work safely within the cleaning industry.
Each skill is linked to other skills in the basic and additional skills suite and the candidate will have to demonstrate
competency before undertaking any specialist skill (See ‘Rules of combination’).
