The multi-touch iPhone® and iPod touch® allows users of Savant’s control products leverage their vast native features, as well as operating as a full-fledged touch interface within the Savant SmartSystems’ automation environment. Savant has transformed the iPhone® and iPod touch® into mobile control devices capable of functionality never foreseen in the smart phone and portable media player markets, including compatibility with Savant’s award-winning TrueCommand interface, and remote access using Savant Mobile.

TrueControl II transcends vertical markets providing both automation and control to residential, commercial, education (smart classrooms), government, mobile and PRO AV markets alike.

Category and Services Docks – These docks are arranged for intuitive, easy access to both iPhone® and iPod touch® orientations (portrait or landscape). The Category Dock provides quick access to subsets of system functions, such as video, audio, environment and settings. Also, the Services Dock is used to control specific service functions, such as lighting, climate and security. The Services Dock also provides access to house-wide states, such as active audio and video (AV) sources, current temperature and more.

Navigation Bar – This bar is used to quickly navigate between rooms, services and subsystems. For instance, the Navigation Bar is used to navigate between rooms, for one-touch access to multi-zone control features, or even to power off the current room or the entire house or facility. The Navigation Bar also provides simple navigation back to the active service.

Active Content – The center of the TrueControl II UI indicates the controls and content for the active service, or the service being currently controlled. You can easily swipe between multiple pages to access additional features.

Easy User Customization – TrueControl II provides simple and immersive user customizations. For instance, User-Changeable Backgrounds, User-Defined Categories and Channel Favorites are three features that you will enjoy while creating your own personal TrueControl experience. A changeable background can be any image in the iPhone’s or iPod touch’s photos application, which is selected, positioned and set as your TrueControl II background. Also, you can turn your iPod touch into a dynamic digital picture frame using the TrueControl II screensaver and slideshow feature.

User-Defined Category – This feature allows you to create your own category of services and also add custom images to your category icon. For instance, you can create User-Defined Categories for media services, whole-house music (party mode), or favorite services for each family member—organize favorite services any way you prefer with this exciting feature.

Additional UI Features – These include the ability to access environmental controls (lighting, climate, security and more) for the entire residence or facility from any room. In addition, the creative use of ‘popovers or popups’ provides quick access to additional information or choices. The planar (flat) UI surface provides rich access to diverse information and control while minimizing ‘context changes’ that can often confuse the user.

TrueCommand, On-TV Menu SystemTrueCommand is an On-TV Menu System overlaid onto live video up to 1080p60, which is navigated by Apple® iOS devices running TrueControl Apps, or alternatively with Savant TrueCommand Remotes. With TrueCommand you can enjoy total immersive automation and control through any HD display from the comfort of your couch, or lectern podium with lean back and heads-up navigation.

Savant Mobile and Guest AccessSavant Mobile is a remote access application included with TrueControl II. It provides you with access to all features and services within your home or facility from anywhere in the world through a Wi-Fi or 3G data connection. With Savant Mobile, remote access capabilities are at your fingertips to arm and disarm your security system, trigger gate access, control heating and air conditioning, turn lights on or off, view live video feeds from security cameras, and even receive messages and notifications when events occur. Remote access to Savant services is configured via RacePoint Blueprint™ and automatically sent to the iPhone® or iPod touch® upon discovery.

Guest Access allows you to set up an iPhone® or iPod touch® with optional authentication credentials. The end-user’s iPhone® or iPod touch® can then simply join the network and attach to the Savant SmartSystem™ using TrueControl II. This translates to faster deployment and an enhanced customer experience. Guest Access also provides the opportunity for dealers and system integrators alike to configure a set of iPod touches for use in various scenarios. For instance, the client may want to provide a guest room-only interface and allow only certain services to be available. With Guest Access, your guests simply install TrueControl and enters the username and password provided by the homeowner, or facility manager.

Internet Music and Subscription ServicesSavant works seamlessly with the most popular music services for computer-free access to millions of songs and stations. Now it is easy to discover and play great Internet radio. You can browse local stations or content from around the world, and TrueControl II lets you build and store customized queues and playlists as ‘Favorites’ for instant access. Savant’s Internet music solution is intuitive and provides immediate access to a vast variety of entertainment programming including popular services such as Pandora®, Rhapsody®, Napster®, Last.fm®, and Sirius® Internet Radio.

Docking Stations for the iPod touchIn-Wall Charging Docks are designed to transform the iPod touch® into cost-effective wireless or wired in-wall touch panels. These docks consist of in-wall docking cradles and include low-profile bezels. The iPod touch is powered via these docks, and its touch screen is used for navigation and control of Savant’s automation and entertainment solutions. They are fixed solutions and once installed, the iPod touch is held in place with a locking fastener. The wireless version provides tremendous flexibility for retrofit installations where running wires to certain key access points is difficult or impossible.

These in-wall docking solutions include an optional removal notification feature, which is useful in alerting users in the event of an unauthorized device removal from the dock. The removal notification feature can help prevent the potential loss of an iPod touch by programming the Savant control system to alert users via e-mail, audio or video alerts and other useful notification methods.

Media Distribution DocksSavant Media Dock transforms the iPod® into a portable and entertaining multi-room digital media server. Savant Media Docks combine the convenience of personal audio and video with the performance, distribution and control capabilities of Savant multiroom A/V systems, delivering audio, and DVD quality video throughout the home.

Savant Media Dock allows homeowners, family or friends alike to share and enjoy music or videos stored on their personal iPod throughout the household while providing two-way operation of the iPod from Savant’s entire line of diverse and unique user interfaces. Thanks to our iPod interface, consumers can effortlessly enjoy their favorite iPod music with the superior sound and video quality that is the hallmark of every Savant multiroom A/V system.
