The ukulele is my expressive canvas: decorative prints and “blank canvas” sheets are cut out, handcrafted, adhere temporarily to ukulele top for personalized flair. Change as frequently as desired. Serves Art and Music Therapy goals plus any strummer or organization seeking extra creativity! Premium artisan designs: proposals invited, jury selected, produced, sold or consigned at premium price via fundraiser auction. Ukulele customer artistry: purchasers receive a pre-assembled ukulele with natural birch top at retail price, independently create their own design. Net sales proceeds support hospital donations. This little ukulele started something big: our hospital donation program. Since 2010, TRUE JOY ACOUSTICS has grown into a “5 star” retailer of FLEA brand ukuleles on Amazon and eBay. Importantly, sales and sponsors (business, individual) have funded 60 ukulele donations to Music Therapy at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. These special concert-size ukuleles have a retail value of about $200 each. With many kids yet to strum, and continued help from customers and friends, we hope to zip beyond our 100 th ukulele donation goal. Three projects are being planned to “celebrate 100” and fund more:
