Boise ID, Student Literacy Center This Student Literacy Center houses a library and space for children's museum exhibits within an interactive structural skin that allows for interaction between the nearby park inhabitants and the Literacy Center patrons. The ground floor includes a book store, a cafe with a stage for performances. This building ties together the neighboring downtown and greenbelt with its axial reinforced pathways that go under the building and past its commercially activated ground floor.

HQ Interior RedesignThis interior redesign, located in San Diego, was completed over the course of 2 months. Maximization of space and interchangeable programmatic use are at the heart of this projects ultimate goal. All of the daily needs of a small business can be met through interchangeable systems including 2 sliding walls, and duel purpose furniture that allow them to host conventions, meetings, sales services, as well as design simultaneously.

Translucent WallThis wall system operates on a sliding pin-joint, allowing it to fold away against the wall, or slide into different positions, creating various configurations as desired for a seperated space.

Various configurations are possible with this Multiple Purpose Furniture from all seats too tables with seats

Student Living CommunityThis Living Community located in Moscow, ID is designed to house all of the needs of a community with various indoor and outdoor hangout areas. People are encouraged to interact with their neighbors through quality daylight group space housed on the Southern end of the building.

U. of I Arboretum PavilionThis Pavilion acts as an extended pathway through the site that frames views of the gardens while it invites people in to get a beeer look atop its handicap assessable green room. It has a kitchen and dinning hall to stage banqueee dinners for special university occasions.

Silo Reuse Boutique Hotel This site located between the Moscow’s downtown and the U.of I campus was designed to salvage the remains of the historic silo’s that stand their while adding valuable hotel programmatic usage to the area. A central pathway is maintained through the site aswell as a plaza for people to set up Saturday market sales stands.

Courtyard Housing Community This courtyard was designed as a communal haven for the inhabitants who call it home. A common workout room, convienience store, and lounge areas situated within the courtyard allow bonding to occure between the inhabitants.

Palouse Aquatic Center This structure opens to the views of the landscape and draws in natural light while celebrating the rolling hills of the Palouse with its curved roof line. This long spanning structure encloses one large multipurpose area that maintains a long shot view from end to end as one enters the building. Multi-programmatic uses are able to function simultainiously allowing people to enjoy every fascee of the building from the childrens play areas too the diving and racing competitions.

This firestation uses the higway to rhythmicaly monumentalize the importance of the firefighters. In part, the large impact created on the highway is due to its hiearchical scale, with a training tower 700 tall, that also acts as a look out tower. The building is seperated into service spaces, administrative, apparatus, and living quarters. Privacy on the living side increases from the ground floor containin training rooms gradually as you reah the top floor. Deep balconies with shrubbery give private outdoor areas to the firefighters. Natural firefighters. Natural ventilation is achieved through the shear hight of the building and linear connectivity as natural lighting flows through clear story windows. A responce is made to the neighboring skate park with an outdoor spruce tree lounge forviewing of the specticles while views toward the mountainsare maintained from the main living area. The efficiency of the building is key with all areas having a direct rout to the drivethrough apparatus bathrough apparatus bay, helping the firefighters do their jobs sothey can beeer help their community.

The U. of I ASME Student Lounge This Student Lounge has been designed as a multifunctional area where more than one activity can be facilitated at one time. Students can come in and rest in the drop in lounge area while others study in the meeting or work room. A collapsable wall, all stackable chairs, and collapsable tables allow the students to make the room fit their needs at any moment. Personalized lockers let the students have security and a place to keep their belongings. Some major changes to take place in this design are deconstruction of the ramp for complete utilization of space, deconstruction of the ramp for complete utilization of space, and demolition in the wall for window holes to beeer naturally light the room. A permanent wood slat wall will act to facilitate a coffee island and seperate the quiet and non-quiet area as a transitional wall.
