Troop 78’s Popcorn Sales Approach
• We combine our popcorn sales drive with earning Salesmanship Merit Badge
• Scouts who are interested sell popcorn door to door to build their sales planning and selling skills
• Our Scouts lead the sales training program with Salesmanship Merit Badge alumni acting as sales managers for new scouts
• Scouts that are successful at selling and want to earn their merit badge attend merit badge training sessions lead by the Scout Sales Managers
• Merit Badge candidates participate in our Corporate Sales Program by presenting their popcorn solution ideas to leading business executives
• All Corporate sales are equally divided between the Salesmanship Merit Badge Scouts

• $13,540.00 Total Sales on a goal of $12,055
• Prior to Corporate Sales Program sales were less than $3,000
• 9 Scouts sold popcorn on a goal of 5
• 2 New Popcorn Scholarship Scouts - 5 total in Troop 78!
• 5 Walmart $50 Gift Cards for sales over $1,750
• 4 Scouts and 2 Sales Managers with an excellent sales resumes and a bright sales future!
2014 Plan
• We have secured a corporate board room for our sales breakfast meeting
• We are expecting 5-6 business leaders who have expressed interest
• Older scouts are expressing interest in participating as they hear how much fun it is and how much money they can make
• My sales managers are eligible to be selected for a sales/marketing internship with a local business – working on it being a paid internship!
