Ion exchange substrates, a new generation.

ornamentals, greenhouse vegetable production, technology

Composition
The structure of ion exchange substrates include new types of
synthetic and natural ion exchange materials with high selectivity
anion to nitrate nitrogen (ions NO3-), phosphorus (H2PO4-), sulfur
(SO4--), cation exchangers for potassium ions (K+), magnesium
(Mg++) , trace elements, which allows to optimize the substrate on
mineral composition in according to the specific needs of the
growing crop.
Properties / features / benefits:
Substrates developed a new generation - TRIONA ® and
TRIONIT ® - thanks to its composite structure and a large supply
of nutrients mineral nutrition can be used for a long time to grow a
variety of plant species and retain the necessary level of humidity,
which is very important to improve stress tolerance grown plants.
Obtained by ion exchange substrate green products have the
highest quality: environmental cleanliness, minimum amounts of
nitrate (below the norm established by the MPC), a high content of
vitamins B, C, carotene and nicotinic acid.
The unique properties of ion exchange substrate should be
attributed, and its ecological and biological purity: in the long term
operation it does not accumulate pathogens and he remains free of
bacterial and fungal micro flora, since there are no carbohydrate
sources of food for microorganisms.
Use ion exchange substrates - TRIONA ® and TRIONIT ® - for cultivation and breeding of flowers - gives morph type’s plants
with long flowering, raduyuschim observer, his aesthetics, preserve
and even enhance the inherent smell of the flowers.
Seedlings of vegetable crops grown on the proposed substrates,
ahead of the growth rate is 2-3 times the growth in torfogruntah.
When rooting cuttings and vegetative reproduction processes
rhizogenesis also pass by several orders of magnitude faster. Thus,
the primary roots of potato cuttings mikroklonirovanii for the needs
of primary seed, already appear on the second day, while in the
culture of potatoes it takes 8-10 days. Seedlings of woody species in
adapting to the proposed ion exchange substrates outpacing the
growth of 20-40 times compared to natural conditions.
For which crops can be used
The developed composite substrates of the series, TRIONA ®
and TRIONIT ®, are based on ion-exchange materials with high
selectivity to nitrates and cations. This allows them to optimize on
mineral nutrition, both for specific plant species and cultivars, and
create a more versatile substrates, which can be cultivated and a
crop for a wide range of plant facilities.
Method of use:
Ion exchange substrate is extremely simple in its operation.
TRIONA ® and TRIONIT ® is poured into a vessel with a
perforated bottom, intended for growing plants (plastic, clay, etc.),
and filled with distilled or tap water, the excess is drained through a
hole in the bottom of the vessel. 30-60 minutes is enough for the
swelling of granules of ion exchange resins, after which the substrate
is ready for planting seeds of green vegetables and cereals, tubers
and bulbs, cuttings, seedlings or adult plants.
Stocks of nutrients are so large that the substrate can be operated
unchanged for many years (5-7), depending on the magnitude of
nutrient removal with harvest. Care of plants is reduced only to
watering as needed.
Regeneration of substrate (restoring the original properties) is
put ѐ m soaking the substrate in a special solution (the package with
the salts and instruction included). After this procedure, the
substrate is again ready for reuse.
Review
Creating a balanced ionic composition of the medium

vegetable production and technology to accelerate the vegetative

In Belarus in the early 70's with SSI "Institute of Experimental
Botany Name V.F. Kuprevich NAS" began research on the
development of ion exchange substrates based on synthetic ion
exchange resins. As a result, ion exchange substrates were created
BIONA ®, providing high productivity and ecological purity of
cultivated vegetables.
BIONA ® is well proven in the experiments (Fig. 1) and
successfully used on space stations.

Further optimization of the active work of the laboratory of
mineral nutrition and photosynthesis in a given direction possible to
develop new ion exchange substrates are optimized (Fig. 2) as a
specific plant species and cultivars, and more versatile substrates on
which to grow crops and get a number of plant sites ( more 100
common species) (Fig.3-10).
Development of a new generation of artificial substrates due to
the following circumstances:
- in the laboratory has a long experience of working with Ion
exchange substrate;
- significant progress in the field of dynamic simulation of
production processes of plants, as well as the optimization of
water regime and mineral nutrition (US patent N 5,526,705;
WO / 1996/004553; US patent N 5,668,719);
- on the market, a large number of ion-exchange materials with
high selectivity to the elements of mineral nutrition.
Ion exchange substrates a new generation of formally
registered and assigned them to trade marks - TRIONA ® and
TRIONIT ®.

Stocks of nutrients in these substrates are so large that they can

Laboratory “Optimization of mineral nutrition and
photosynthesis” was accredited and certified to manufacture,
procurement and implementation of disease-free material (mini
tuber and sprouts) Potato (Passport number 001214 on June 8,
2005, issued by the PI "Main State Inspection on Seed Production,
Plant Protection Belarus").
When the use of ion exchange substrates TRIONA ® and
TRIONIT ® for cultivation and breeding colors (phytodesign
offices and premises) can be obtained morphotypes with long
flowering, while preserving and even enhancing the inherent smell
of the flowers (Fig. 10).
Substratum TRIONA ® and TRIONIT ® - purchased once for
5-7 years. During this period, on the substrate receive up to 7
harvests a year without adding any fertilizers and pesticides. In the
future it is possible to restore its activity fairly simple methods.
As a result of substrate TRIONA ® and TRIONIT ® user gets
environmentally friendly product with good preservation and
guaranteed nutrients and flavor.
Thus, ion exchange substrates of a new generation of TRIONA
® and TRIONIT ® have several advantages over the best analogues
of nutrient substrates enclosed spaces, such as:
- ion-exchange substrates of a new generation will not settle
pathogens, and they do not have a viral, bacterial and fungal
micro flora;
- have a large reserve of nutrients mineral nutrients that
become available to plants as they use;
- they are very convenient in operation: care of plants is
reduced only to the watering;
- well retain the desired moisture level, which is very important
to improve stress tolerance of cultivated plants;
- obtained by ion exchange substrate green products are of high
quality: environmental cleanliness, a minimum content of
nitrates (below the norm established by the MAC), high
content of vitamins B, C, and nicotinic acid;
- using ion exchange substrates TRIONA ® and TRIONIT ®
for cultivation and breeding colors (Phyto design offices and
office space) allows morph types plants with long flowering,
which preserve and even enhance the inherent smell of the
flowers;
- during the entire period operation allows the substrate to
receive 5 – 10 cropping of vegetables without adding any
fertilizers and pesticides;
