Dr.PeterW.AndersonministeredinHawaiiforabout37years.Aftergraduatingin1970fromKingUniversityinBristol,Tennessee,heservedwiththeUnitedStatesArmy.LaterhereceivedaMaster’sDegreeinCounselingfromtheUniversityofNorthCarolinaandservedasamissionarytoMexico.In1977,upongraduationfromWestminsterTheologicalSeminaryinPhiladelphia,PastorAndersonandhiswife,Martha,movedtoHawaii.
PastorAndersonisthefoundingpastorofTrinityChurchWindwardinKailuaandwithhiswifehelpedtofoundTrinityChristianSchool.In1990,hereceivedhisdoctoratefromtheInternationalGraduateSchoolofTheologywherehelatertaughtChurchPlantingandCounseling.In1991,PastorAndersonstartedholdingservicesinCentralOahuandin1995wasinstalledaspastorofTrinityChurchCentralOahu.PastorAnderson’spassionisplantingchurchestoreachtheunchurchedwiththetransformingmessageoftheGospelofChrist.
PastorPetealsohasarealloveforthepeopleofCentralAfrica,andinthelast20yearshastraveledthereannuallytohelpintheplantingandgrowthofnewchurches.Thisministrycontinuestoexpandwiththeestablishmentofmorethanthirtychurches,twoorphanages,twoelementaryschools,aclinicandaradiostation.HehasalsohelpedwiththedevelopmentofTrinityChristianSchoolandCentralChristianSchoolinHawaii.In2014,hehelpedstartTrinityBiblicalInstitute,aprogramoftheologicalstudiesforchurchleaders,withsixbranchesinCentralAfrica.PastorAndersonandMarthahavetwogrowndaughters,KatieandCarrie,andfivegrandchildren.
