TGC Level-1 simulation

Input (same as current DICE) Hit information of TGC chambers

Chamber number Hit Position/Time Momentum information of incoming particles

Output Raw Data

Hit pattern of chambers Trigger Information

RoI information to MUCTPI Test vectors at each stage of trigger logic

Design policy

Detailed trigger simulation based on real electronics design Can describe logic according to real

implementation of ASIC Can describe individual module Can describe connection between modules Can treat multi-bunch simulation

Current Status -1

Prototype Code was finished by Daisuke and Koichi as a part of his master degree work on Mar ’00 These are very preliminary results and we found

some bugs exist

R, in a High Pt Board for muon tracks

Current Status -2

Now, a new student, Totsuka, takes over it supervised by Yoji, Kazumi and Yoji

Prof. Yu Fu helps us as a foreign researcher at ICEPP

Current Status -3

Comparison of simulation results with Yoji’s results starts

But, there are some problems It takes time for new students to understand TGC trigger

scheme

We have changed TGC numbering scheme (sector No, chamber No etc.) for production/electronics/simulation from one used in DICE. It causes some troubles.

Migration on ATHENA/PESA scheme -1

Trigger Simulation is a “algorithm” in ATHENA framework

Use Case Documents Digitizer Trigger Simulator

MC production Diagnosis for electronics

Migration on ATHENA/PESA scheme -2

Framework Change 1. Use TDS (Transient Data Storage) for

Digitizer input (DICE Hit output equivalent) Digitizer output (RAW data equivalent) Trigger output (MUCTPI input equivalent) Test Vectors

2. Create/Use Detector Data Service For both trigger and detector simulation
