Highlights:

Division L1 coordinated the Officer’s Training Program and the Judges Training Program for the first time. This was held at MAMCET Toastmasters Club, Tiruchirapalli on 9th July 2016. Five toastmasters from Trichy Toastmasters Club attended the “Train The Trainers” program held at Chennai. Club Level-Humorous speech and evaluation contest was conducted on July 23rd 2016. “Moments Of Truth” was conducted by TM Sasi on August 17th 2016. Area Level-Humorous speech and Evaluation contest was conducted on August 21st 2016. Educational session on “Evaluate to Motivate” was conducted by TM Sivakumar on 21st September 2016.

Division Director’s Address:

Hello from your Division Director,

From just a Toastmaster, to being a Division Director, my

journey has been as normal as that of a day-to-day routine.

I took over the mantle, with absolutely no hullabaloo, yet

determined to make this new Division L, spread its wings to

those places, where toastmasters can change lives!

I am proud to state that, Division L is richer today, by 3 clubs already! My ever enthusiastic

and focused Area Director's, Mala, Siva Kumar and Sunder have been working with a

vision. A vision to envisage the concept of toastmasters. I whole-heartedly welcome all the

new clubs unto our fold.

Thank you Toastmasters of Division L, for the confidence reposed in me! Let's together make

our new Division, a Division to reckon with! May our tribe increase!

Hello Toastmasters, It’s been a joyful journey and truly a blissful experience that kept me engrossed in every activity and opportunity we did as toastmasters from the very beginning as a prospective member to date. I am truly humbled to be the Area Director of my dear family of toastmasters.

Whilst appreciating your confidence placed on me, I wish to place on record my thanks to TM Mythily Ramanan and DTM Suganthi Periyasamy for all the guidance throughout. I owe my journey to every one of you in Trichy Toastmasters Club. As Dr. Smedley once said:“I would rather be rich in friendship than in money. It’s a privilege to make a contribution to the welfare of my fellow toastmasters”

Club Level Humorous Speech & Evaluation Contest

The Division L, Area L1 – Humorous Speech and Evaluation contest was conducted on 21st August 2016. It was held at BIM, Trichy under the leadership of the meticulous Division L Director –TM MythilyRamanan ably supported by Area L1 Director TM Mala and the prospective Toastmasters of BIM.

The team was led by TM Manimekalai, Contest Chair.

Today, when I close my eyes I can still see the quivering leaves I can still hear Their ceaseless whispers… But when I open my eyes There is just the barren dust… And some crisp, crumbly roots… Something less, something missing From my soul… A piece of me was uprooted too That day when the canopied splendour Came crashing down To meet the earth…
