“You are no longer outsiders..., instead there is a place for you in the family of God.”Ephesians 2:19
OUR MISSION The mission at Powers Memorial Baptist church of Hopewell is to glorify God by proclaiming Jesus Christ, winning the lost, and preparing members for life-long ministry. At Powers, we have a great commitment to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20), and to the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-39), on order to become a great church. Simply put, we love God, we love others, and desire to serve the world. Our desire at Powers is to be connected to our Creator through dynamic worship, to be connected to each other in Sunday School, or small-group Bible fellowship, and connected to the world as we share the Gospel message of Jesus Christ to each person. We gather together to focus our attention on Jesus Christ, expressing our worship and receiving His guidance, blessing, and inspiration. Studying the Bible is vital to us because Scripture not only instructs intellectually, but guides us spiritually. We fi rmly believe in and accept God’s Holy Word that is alive and applicable to life today.
