As the trees here in Scotland turn their Autumn hues, the first signs of a tough Winter are quick to follow. Temperatures drop and the first snows have fallen already. The landscape is new. To get out and appreciate this change is a spectacle indeed. The light doesn’t stick around for long, so we have to make the most of it.

To accompany this change in weather, Trespass can unveil their best outdoor collection ever. Better levels of performance in rich colours yet not-so rich price-points.

Trespass as ever have endevoured to find the right solutions at the right price. Affordable every day rainwear are the bones of the collection, triple layer membrane fabrics make up the very waterproof skin.

Amongst our other developments, base layers and active layer collections have been bolstered. Socks, hats and other accessories too.

In our quest to provide affordable high performance, Trespass have been developing our very own waterproof treatments and fabrics. Balancing materials and attributes with sensible pricing and positioning.

This Tres-Tex® Membrane fabric leads the way this season. Waterproofing and breathability within durable, well designed outerwear. Intended to keep the end-user out there in wet conditions.

The sandwich construction involves bonding durable water repellent fabric to a semi-permeable membrane, which stops rain, but allows smaller water vapour particles to pass. We protect this membrane from wear and tear with an inner layer. Then tape all seams to keep everything out.

On the West coast of Scotland we are battered by Atlantic storms, energised by the relatively warm waters of the North Atlantic’s ‘Gulf Stream’. This means it rains, it rains a lot. We are practised at staying dry.

We know our Tres-Tex® Membrane works because we have used it ourselves. here in the ‘fjord like’ Glen Etive, the Atlantic extends a finger into the highland countryside, bringing with it persistent precipitation. Because of this, not despite it, we love it.

We do this to make the lives of everyone a bit easier and allow them to see the wonderful changes in weather and landscapes we experience.
