These Pollutants do What? – Global Fever
Greenhouse gases cause the earth to heat up the same way that a person sleeping under a thick blanket in the summertime is too hot…or wearing a parka that is too thick.
Our atmospheric “blanket” or “parka” is over 35% “thicker”.
Thick blanket traps too much heat.
Thinner blanket is “just right”.

Message of the Day!
To Reduce Your Carbon Footprint – Reduce Your Ecological Footprint!
Seems Too Simple
![Page 15: Treading Lightly with Your Footprint Larry Foster.](https://reader038.fdocuments.net/reader038/viewer/2022102808/56649cad5503460f9496fd6e/html5/thumbnails/15.jpg)

Need a victim!
Just what is MY footprint?
embarrassing!
![Page 18: Treading Lightly with Your Footprint Larry Foster.](https://reader038.fdocuments.net/reader038/viewer/2022102808/56649cad5503460f9496fd6e/html5/thumbnails/18.jpg)
So who cares . . .
Global Warming
Ocean Acidification
hey stupid – I do!
![Page 19: Treading Lightly with Your Footprint Larry Foster.](https://reader038.fdocuments.net/reader038/viewer/2022102808/56649cad5503460f9496fd6e/html5/thumbnails/19.jpg)
Ocean Acidification
525 BILLION tonsof CO2 into the Ocean in last 200 years
½ of Human Emissions
MILLION BILLION lbs
![Page 20: Treading Lightly with Your Footprint Larry Foster.](https://reader038.fdocuments.net/reader038/viewer/2022102808/56649cad5503460f9496fd6e/html5/thumbnails/20.jpg)
But where is the Acid?
pH goes from 8.21 to 8.1 in 200 years
Why? Drink a COKE!
7-Up is better!
![Page 21: Treading Lightly with Your Footprint Larry Foster.](https://reader038.fdocuments.net/reader038/viewer/2022102808/56649cad5503460f9496fd6e/html5/thumbnails/21.jpg)
So what – just 0.11!
Its all in the Math:10^0.11
Looks hard!
![Page 22: Treading Lightly with Your Footprint Larry Foster.](https://reader038.fdocuments.net/reader038/viewer/2022102808/56649cad5503460f9496fd6e/html5/thumbnails/22.jpg)
30% - yeeks!
Its all in the Math:10^0.11 ~ 30%
forget swimming!
![Page 23: Treading Lightly with Your Footprint Larry Foster.](https://reader038.fdocuments.net/reader038/viewer/2022102808/56649cad5503460f9496fd6e/html5/thumbnails/23.jpg)
and Acids do what?
Sea life at the bottom of the food chain need calcium carbonate.
Acids bind with carbonate preventing shell formation
I’m on top of this!
![Page 24: Treading Lightly with Your Footprint Larry Foster.](https://reader038.fdocuments.net/reader038/viewer/2022102808/56649cad5503460f9496fd6e/html5/thumbnails/24.jpg)
