TheBOMBARDIER* TRAXX*F140 DC with Last Mile
feature is the newest member of the TRAXX-Loco-
motive Platform. It covers all 3 kV DC main-line
applications in Italy and Poland. The Last Mile feature
consists of a small diesel engine which enables the
locomotive to haul the train in terminals, harbors and
dry ports. It is used for heavy duty or mixed general
purpose freight, as well as for passenger trains.
TheTRAXX
F140 DC locomotive with Last Mile has highpulling capability using state-of-the-art adhesion control
systems and is equipped with the Italian train safety system
SCMT or the Polish SHP. TRAXXlocomotives are the most
frequently sold and wide-spread locomotives in Europe.
They are proven in a multitude of different applications and
meet the high expectations of operators in terms of reliability,
availability and maintainability, as well as low operating costs.
As a platform product, the TRAXXF140 DC provides
operators with the advantages of long term spare parts
availability, commonality savings in a mixed fleet of TRAXX
locomotives and high residual value over the locomotives
lifetime. The operators of TRAXXlocomotives benefit from
a large service network throughout Europe.
