My mother bought a skein of this yarn when I was teaching her how to knit. She made a

k1, p1 ribbed scarf and I loved the way the scarf turned out so much that I decided I

wanted to make a scarf with this yarn too. I wanted to do something a little more

complicated than a simple rib so I decided to do a traveling rib. Its almost as simple as a

basic ribbed scarf but the finished product is more dramatic and complicated looking

and the variegated yarn creates a beautifully colored scarf.

Gauge

4x4 inch swatch in stockinette stitch

19sts x 20 rows

Materials

2 skeins Moda Dea Vision in Karma (300 yards)

2 size 9 straight needles

Pattern

Cast on 39 sts using long tail cast on method.
