The National Geographic Society is a leading nonprofit that invests in bold people and transformative ideas in the fields of exploration, scientific research, storytelling, and education. We support educators to ensure that the next generation is armed with geographic knowledge and global understanding. We aspire to create a community of change, advancing key insights about our planet and probing some of the most pressing scientific questions of our time. Our goal is measurable impact: furthering exploration and educating people around the world to inspire solutions for the greater good.

For 130 years, we have been documenting our extraordinary planet and all that is in it. We bring these stories of adventure, world cultures, and wild places to life in exhibitions, live events, and experiences that are designed to be shared with audiences of all ages. We partner with museums, science centers, schools, libraries, universities, galleries, zoos, and aquariums all over the world on projects that are always rel-evant, interesting, and current. As international partners, your museum has the unique opportunity to participate in our digital delivery model. Content packages are provided via a secure link, thereby eliminating

costly shipping fees. This model is ideal for photography, video, and panel-based shows.

Content packages include exhibition assets, PR and marketing toolkit, and a style guide.

We hope you will enjoy looking at the latest in our traveling exhibition offerings, and please visit us when you are in Washington, DC at the National Geographic Museum.

National Geographic photographer JOEL SARTORE has visited coun-tries in his -year quest to create a photo archive of global biodiversity. To date, he has completed intimate portraits of nearly ,000 species. Photo Ark aims to document every species currently living in the world s zoos and wildlife sanctuaries, inspire action through education, and help save animals facing extinction in the wild by supporting on-the-ground conservation projects. Museums and zoos world-wide are hosting Photo Ark exhibitions to raise awareness.

B I R D S O F T H E P H O T O A R K Wild birds connect us to environments that are rapidly receding. They live in a spectacular variety of habitats and signal ecological health. To commemorate the cen-tennial of the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, which protects more than 1,025 species, National Geographic Society has partnered with National Audubon Society, BirdLife International, and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. Birds of the Photo Ark shows how our changing environment is leading to the dramatic disappearance of bird species around the globe. We also document how people can take action to protect our birds—and our environment. Of the nearly 8,000 species photo-graphed for Photo Ark to date, nearly 2,000 are birds. This exhibition reveals the amazing variety of birds around the world.

Zoos worldwide are hosting Photo Ark. These exhibitions highlight important conservation work taking place in zoos, aquariums, and wildlife sanctuaries around the world. Each exhibition fea-tures large-format prints in 2.4 meters tall kiosks, as well as a grid of many more images to showcase the range of species in the Photo Ark. Opportunities are available to customize some of the kiosks for zoos where Joel Sartore has photographed.

This exhibition will transport visitors behind the lens of some of National Geographic’s most engaging images. From STEVE MCCURRY’s unforgettable Afghan girl to MICHAEL “NICK” NICHOLS’s iconic photograph of Jane Goodall and a chimpanzee, the exhibition features 50 of the magazine’s most celebrated photo-graphs from its 130-year history. In addition to seeing the photographs as they appeared in the magazine, exhibition visitors will learn the stories behind the photos, and more about the photographers themselves. For some photographs, visitors will be able to see the near frames taken by the photographer: the sequence of photographs made in the field before and after the perfect shot.

n collaboration with our partner, the Nobel Peace Center, National Geographic is traveling for the first time ever an exhibition of photographs and writings produced by National Geographic Photo Camp students in urope. National Geographic photographers MARCUS BLEASDALE, ROBIN HAMMOND, LYNN JOHNSON, PETE MULLER, and ANDREA BRUCE mentored students in Athens, Greece, and three Norwegian cities during the Summer of 01 . The refugee youth who participated had journeyed to their new homes from Syria, Afghanistan, ran, Somalia, Sudan, and ritrea, among other nations. The exhibition will highlight the stories of students, who are a blend of refugee and host country youth in Norway and Greece. The exhibition is designed to weave a narrative of the experiences of displaced youth, as well as their connection to the Norwegian and Greek students who participated alongside them. Their writings express optimism, hope, and the shared dreams of young people around the world. This exhibition is co-curated by National Geographic and the Nobel Peace Center.

National Geographic Society is building its global network of part-nerships. We are very interested in strategic alliances with museums, galleries, and universities to bring a consistent line-up of exhibitions every few months. This business model encourages collaboration and shared vision for new projects, as well as competitive pricing. We will be consulting with these partners first when developing new exhibition ideas and, in some cases, we will create custom exhibitions based on our partners’ needs.
