The Bayreuth Festival performs operas by the 19th-century

German composer Richard Wagner. The Festival is world

renowned and still performs in the opera house built for Richard

Wagner and is dedicated solely to the performance of his stage

works

The Valkyrie is Wagner’s most celebrated opera, with the iconic

part being the beginning of Act three known as “The Ride of the

Valkyries”.
