What is MTN HelloWorld?MTN HelloWorld is a roaming service that enables you to enjoy discounted calling, SMS and Internet rates using your MTN line, every time you travel to your favorite destinations.

Who needs to use this roaming service?MTN Uganda customers who travel out of Uganda and need to keep in touch with their family, business partners and colleagues. Keeping your MTN number on to stay in touch is now easier and more convenient than getting a new SIM card or buying a calling card in every country you visit. In addition, you will not have to keep searching for Wi-Fi spots for reliable Internet; you will be able to easily reply email, share posts or update status at discounted rates straight from your MTN phone.

Am I able to use MTN HelloWorld in the East Africa One Network Area?This service is not available with Kenya, Rwanda and South Sudan partner networks due to the availability of the already discounted One Network Area roaming service, that enables you to enjoy special tariffs on calls, SMS and internet within East Africa.

What services can I enjoy at the discounted rates when I travel to those destinations?After subscribing to the zone with the partner network in your selected country, you will be able to enjoy discounted calls back to any network in Uganda, calls within that country, calls anywhere else in the world, send discounted SMS, receive free SMS and best of all very affordable Internet access straight from your MTN line.

How much do I pay for using the Internet on my MTN line when I roam using MTN HelloWorld?From rates as low as 0.4/- per KB (about 400/- per MB) to 2/- per KB (about 2000/- per MB) you will be able to receive and reply email, keep up to date with your social media, post status changes and share your trip in real time.

Do I have to subscribe every time I travel to a di�erent country?The MTN HelloWorld zones are made up of different countries based on the rates offered per zone. If your trip covers countries within the same zone, you do not need to subscribe again. However, if your trip covers countries in more than one zone, you will need to subscribe to the two zones to enjoy the service.

Can I subscribe to more than one zone at the same time?Yes, by simply dialing *160*55# you can subscribe to more than one zone at the same time and also check the status of your subscriptions at any time.

What happens when I select the partner network without subscribing to MTN HelloWorld?You will not be able to enjoy the discounted MTN HelloWorld rates. You will be charged the standard roaming rates instead.

What is the maximum number of days I can subscribe for?You can subscribe for a 90 days maximum and 1 day minimum.

If I want to cancel my subscription, what do I do?Simply dial *160*55# and select cancel subscription. The subscription charges for only the unused days will be sent back to your MTN line as airtime. You can also call customer service for assistance on +256 771 001 000

What happens if my phone picks another network that is not a HelloWorld partner network?You will not be able to enjoy the discounted MTN HelloWorld rates when this happens. You will be charged the standard roaming rates instead. It is important that you always check that your phone is displaying the partner network you selected.

How do I check my HelloWorld subscription status?Simply dial *160*55# from your MTN phone and select check status or call customer service on +256 771 001 000 for assistance.

How do I load airtime when roaming with my MTN line?To easily load airtime when roaming with your MTN line, simply use MTN Mobile Money. To buy airtime using MTN Mobile Money, dial *165# and select Buy Airtime.
