This tour takes you to Winchester,VA, for a guided Crazy for Patsy Cline Tour, with stops at the Winchester-Frederick County Visitors Center featuring a special Patsy Cline exhibit and Patsy souvenirs, Patsy Cline Historic House where Patsy lived with her mother and siblings, and more. We continue to Staunton,VA, for two nights at the Stonewall Jackson Hotel. Nestled in Historic Downtown Staunton the picturesque Shenandoah Valley captures the spirit, history and charm of the old South. Travel to Mt. Airy, NC, to visit the home town of Andy Griffith and eat lunch at his favorite restaurant, Snappy Lunch. Then, a guided tour of Mt. Airy featuring Andy’s home, Main Street, Wally’s Service Station, with a final stop at the Andy Griffith Museum for a self-guided tour. After the tour, travel to Natural Bridge,VA, to explore the natural wonder that is Natural Bridge. The bridge has been designated a National Historic Landmark and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Dinner this evening will be at the Natural Bridge Hotel. The third day we revisit “The Waltons” TV show at the Walton’s Mountain Museum through recreated sets, artifacts, videos and a script archive.
