What is Audacity?

Suggest you use Google Chrome or Firefox.

Enabling I-tunes to create an MP3

• In I-tunes click on edit in toolbar.

• Go to preferences and click on ‘Import settings’

• At the top of the import settings window you will find ‘Import Using’ pull down to ‘MP3 encoder’ then click OK (this step will only need to be done at the initial set up)

Converting music to MP3

• Still in I-tunes click on the song you want to use to create the MP3 version

• Right click on the song, click on

Create MP3. A second version will appear.

• Control + I tells you which version is the MP3

Editing Options

• Inserting Silence• Voice Breaks• Inserting sound effects • Merging songs

• Once you finish your track make sure you save it to desktop

• In iTunes account go to ‘File’ ’New Playlist’ it will create a new file in playlist.

• Name this track then drag your new track from desktop.

Using Audacity: Things to Remember

• I-tunes account needs to be open• Must convert from MP4 to MP3

before you can drop into Audacity• Remember to rename your new file

immediately to avoid confusion with the other open songs.

• Can use Audacity to edit out inappropriate language but still keep the rest of the song

• You can put verbal cues into your track.

• Intensity of your music can dictate the intensity of the movement.

Stations can start with 1. Upper Body2. Lower Body3. Core4. Cardiovascular5. Rest/Stretch (low intensity)6-10 Repeat 1-5

• Upper Body– Planks– Push ups (not what we grew up with)

• Lower Body– Squats– Lunges

• Core– Superman– Spiderman– Sit ups

• Cardiovascular– Burpees– Jumping (Jacks, rope, lines, boxes, etc.)

• ½ gallon & gallon plastic jugs filled with water or sand.

• ½ tennis balls• Jump ropes cut in ½• Noodles• Bean bags• Yarn balls
