Inside Left Inside Right

Welcome

Our Speaker

We are so excited about the Midlands Women’s Conventions for 2016. This year is all about

Romans chapter 12. We are urged in that chapter, because of God’s mercy to us, to live for Jesus. Romans 12:2 says: “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this

world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

In our main talks, Mel Lacy will be teaching us from Romans 12 and our seminars will help us to live

transformed lives for Jesus in many ways and situations.

Choose two out of the five seminars on offer and we will schedule them so you can attend both.As well as wonderful teaching, we will enjoy

singing, prayer and the company of other women. We hope and pray that you will come and join us in

the East MWC or the West MWC.Why not bring some friends with you to hear the

good news about Jesus ?MWC is suitable for women aged 14 and above.

See you there!

Programme

Mel Lacy has been involved in Biblical youth and children's ministry for many years. She is thrilled to be the Director of the Youth and Children’s Ministry course at Oak Hill College training others to serve in the local church. Her vision is to see young people equipped to share their faith with those

around them.

Do not conform,

be transformed

Are you a young person? Do you care about someone who is?

This seminar will help you, and the young person you know to:

grow up into Christ, to love and to live for Him and not to be conformed to the pattern of this 21st century world.

Liz Cox - East & West

Raising Young People for Jesus

In the ups and downs of life how can we amaze the watching world so people say

'See how they love one another!'? How can we surprise them by loving them too?

This seminar will look at what it really means to "Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn” and help us draw alongside others in joys and sorrows we

have not faced.

Hilary Jackson - East & West

Love on the Roller Coaster

Many people today regard 'faith' as merely personal and private but God's Word is true for all people at all times in all places. This seminar will encourage us as we hear about Christians today who are standing for truth

under immense pressure, and provide us with resources to equip us to stand effectively for

truth.Sharon James - East & West

Standing for Truth in a Hostile Culture

Help I’ve been asked to …Do you panic when you’re asked to give a talk,

lead a Bible study, or read the Bible with someone? Do you struggle to identify the main

point of a Bible passage and apply it to life situations? Would you like to be more confident in handling the Bible and sharing it with others? In this seminar we’ll learn how to engage with God’s Word, study it confidently and develop

tools we can use in teaching it to others, whether adults or children.

Leonie Lucas - East Carolyn Lacey - West

Seminars

How can we avoid being transformed into a Christian clone? In this seminar we will

explore what it means to learn from role models but imitate Jesus and learn

practically how we can value and encourage the use of our - and other people’s -

different God-given gifts, abilities, resources and opportunities.

Leonie Poole - East Naomi Clemo- West
