• the “snapshot” of your schedule for financial aid will not be taken until a month after the semester begins.
• If you see a class that is open , register for it quickly (do not build up a shopping cart, you can always drop it).
• Look for movement of waitlisted classes after 4:30 on the following payment deadline dates:

LANGUAGE-OTHER-THAN-ENGLISH REQUIREMENT (LOTER)
• How to satisfy the LOTER: Language at intermediate-level
• Third semester /‘201’- level language AP or CLEP exams Proficiency exam Native Speaker designated course
• High school language will not clear this requirement unless you passed an AP language exam with a 3 or higher

HOW TO DETERMINE WHICH LANGUAGE LEVEL TO TAKE:
• If it has been more than 2 years since you have taken a language, you will need to start at the 101 level
• In a 102-level language course, instruction will be taught strictly in the native language
• Must earn a “C” or better• Professors require proof that prerequisites
have been met

• Lists all courses completed, in-progress, transfer courses, test credit
• Check your ARR frequently to ensure your general education, university and major requirements are satisfied

• Upper Division Courses can only be taken at a 4 year accredited institution/University. They are typically numbered 300 – 499
• Example: Social Psychology taken at Palomar WILL NOT equal PSYC 332 – Social Psychology at CSUSM. Even though it has the same course title.
• Upper Division Courses taken at a 4 year university can be petitioned to meet requirement with PSYC or HD Department Faculty (Alternative Course Approval)
