Training on “Induced breeding and seed rearing of Indian Major Carps” at RRC, ICAR- CIFA, Rahara ICAR-CIFA, RRC Rahara was conducted a training programme on “Induced breeding and seed rearing of Indian Major Carps” during 16-20 July, 2019. The inauguration programme was held on 16.07.2019 at Rahara. The Chief Guest of inaugural programme was Dr. J. N. Saha, Ex- Principal Scientist of ICAR-CIFA. Dr Saha told in his speech that such training programme is very much essential to update the knowledge of the trainees and simultaneously it is also an opportunity for us to know the indigenous technical knowledge (ITK) of the farmers and trainees. He also talked about the importance of quality seed production for better growth performance of the fish. Total twenty participants all over the country had joined the programme. The training covered both theory and practical aspects of fish breeding and seed rearing. Dr. S. Adhikari was the Course Director. Dr. D. N. Chattopadhyay, Dr. B. N. Paul, Dr R. N. Mandal, Mr. Arabinda Das and Mrs. Farhana Hoque were the Co-course Directors of the programme. Dr. S. Adhikari, SIC of the centre informed the house about different technologies developed at this centre. ICAR-CIFA, RRC Rahara was conducted a training programme on “Induced breeding and seed

rearing of Indian Major Carps” during 16-20 July, 2019. The inauguration programme was held
