m/05/101Understanding timeware® access control
The timeware® access control facility is simple in design but very effective in operation. People are allocated an access profile which determines where (and when) they may pass through turnstiles and doors controlled by the timeware access terminals.
Profiles may be created in advance for new starters and visitors and access badges or fobs can be programmed to ‘expire’ at a preset date and time
Finally, a history of people’s movements may be stored for many years on the timeware® server.

1. Log into the application by entering your User name and password.
2. Select Advanced/Users.
3. Next, amend the relevant To-do list policy.
It is recommended that access alerts appear on the agendas relating to the people responsible for company security. The following mudule describes how to enable the alerts on a users agenda.

4. Select access control and enable access control alerts on the agenda.
5. Click Ok once the amendments are complete.
6. To log out of the application, select File and Log off.

2. Select access control/realtime access activity
It is recommended that the Alert Centre runs on a PC in the security office. The application can be left minimised and only maximised when security staff are required to check the realtime access activity.
