TRAGBAR is constructed around high efficiency Switch-Mode Battery charger modules. This battery charger has been envisaged as a supplementary charger to the main battery charging system. The portability of the unit opens up a whole new application area for such kind of rugged back-up systems, ensuring reliable downstream power to Breaker, Panels and IED’s.

This Battery Charger comes with a host of alarms, signalling, diagnostics and calibration suites that makes it ideal for industrial applications.

Three variants make up the system. TRAGBAR-3000 can be powered from a single phase input. TRAGBAR-6000 can be powered from a two phase input and the TRAGBAR-9000 can be powered from a three phase four wire system. The high capacity modules are so designed that they can be powered from three separate single phase supplies from different feeders. This ensures effective neutral current balancing and also provides N+1 redundancy for reliable and safe power delivery.

The charger can be configured for Boost / Float charging with individual programs catering to various battery chemistries and voltages.

This mode has been designed to take advantage of the internal SMPS of the TRAGBAR and enhance the usability of the product to the customer or the end user.

In many application areas, the customer might need a variable DC source to test various equipments, IED’s, breakers and panels at its minimal and maximum operating voltage and current ranges. These tests can be easily performed with the help of TRAGBAR using its power supply mode “Avatar”.

The user can interact with the device and set ramp-up, ramp-down, instantaneous DC voltage and current changes etc. Also provided are internal time interval meters, cyclic timer, mono-shot timers, daily/weekly time switches, auto / manual mode, repeat loops, constant voltage mode, constant current mode, meter calibration, so that a comprehensive range of tests are done on the equipments and TRAGBAR becomes a useful and irreplaceable assistant to the engineers and field test personnel without the need for a dedicated lab support.

WIRELESS CONSOLE

The wireless console has been designed as a desktop assistant to the main TRAGBAR unit. The wireless console is built around a powerful yet low power zigbee transceiver module which allows the user to access data and controls of the charger from a remote place.The Wireless console can be placed upto 200 meters line of sight from the charger and can act as a remote display duplicator to the main unit.A set of intuitive buttons helps the user to give/take control to and from the local unit. The entire system has designed around a set of “Lock-out and Tag-out” facilities to ensure safe and vandal resistant operation in the remote display mode.The wireless console has a Li-ion battery bank which ensures its use even in areas where there is no dedicated AC power source.The battery charger for the Li-ion battery pack is also integrated inside the wireless console. The console also comes with integrated received signal strength indicators which can be used for range test options.
