*If a traffic signal isn’t working properly you should stop as if it was a four way stop sign
Traffic SignalsTraffic Signals
• Red Lights: Motorists must stop vehicle prior to reaching intersection, and may not proceed unless making a Right Turn* or the signal changes
• Yellow Lights: Warn motorists that the light is about to turn Red;
“Rule” – If you can safely stop before reaching intersection you must stop, otherwise proceed through intersection
• Green Lights: You may go if the way is clear (Pedestrians)

• Flashing Red Lights: means the same as a red light; you must stop completely and check traffic and pedestrians go when the way is clear.
• Flashing Yellow Lights: slow down, be prepared to stop and proceed with caution
• Green Arrow: you may go in the direction of the arrow if the way is clear, you must yield the pedestrians in the intersection
– (Oncoming traffic will have RED light)
