TRAFFIC FREE EVENT ON PICCADILLYWe are writing to let you know that NFL Kickoff on Piccadilly will be taking place for the first time this year on

Saturday 8th September from 12:00 – 18:00, replacing NFL on Regent Street.

The event is a traffic free, family friendly event celebrating the best of American Sport and its involvement with

the UK and London in particular. This letter provides you with the key information in relation to the event.

Using a number of the roads of Westminster, the event will cause some changes to usual traffic routes, details below:

ROAD CLOSURES & PARKING SUSPENSIONS

We have been working closely with Westminster City Council, Transport for London and the emergency services.

The following temporary road closures have been agreed on Piccadilly and adjoining side streets for the event.

In addition, a number of parking suspensions will be in place both within and on the outskirts of the event

footprint which will be in place from 00:01 until 23:59 on Saturday 8th September.

Further information regarding all parking suspensions will be displayed on clear signage on the affected roads

the week prior to the event. An enforcement vehicle will be used to remove any cars parked in suspended bays.

NB: Albany Court Yard – There will be no access to Albany Court Yard via Piccadilly during the road closure from

04:00 – 23:59, this includes all businesses and residents.

Please do allow extra time for your journey and where possible avoid driving in the area during the closure periods.

Buses will be diverted with a number of routes affected please check on www.tfl.gov.uk for more information.

NOISE

The organisers are required to make sure the noise from the event is controlled to limits agreed with the local

authority. A noise consultant will monitor sound levels during the event.

The event will host a main stage and screens along the street. Sound systems will be tested between 10:00 and

12:00 on Saturday 8th September 2018.

IMPACT OF THE EVENT

In planning this event, every effort has been made to minimise disruption to the local residents and businesses.

Operational considerations such as stewarding, policing and signage have all been carefully considered in

conjunction with Westminster City Council.

OTHER PLANNED EVENTS

We would also like to take this opportunity to notify you of another event which may impact you on this

particular weekend; Sunday 9th September, the OVO Energy Tour of Britain cycle race which will finish in the

heart of London. The race will start and finish on Regent Street St James’s (Lower Regent Street), and follow

a route through Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square, the Strand and Whitehall. The majority of the route will be

closed to traffic from 08:00 and will be re-opened from 20:00 (or as soon as it is safe to do so). For the most
