    Welcome To Traducto, Lets Get Started!

    Spend a few minutes going through the User Guide and become familiar with the

    basics of working with Traducto. This guide will introduce you to the Traductofunctions and concepts and help you get started.

    Localizing any type of content is a tricky task. Now, one tool makes it faster andeasier for you to translate content enabling increased content sharing and salesgeneration. For marketers, Traducto offers fast, certified, human translation.Translate your documents and apps to:

    Installing the Traducto Application

    The Traducto application offers a power tool for managing your translation projectson your Mac. It only takes a couple of minutes to install. First, download the appfrom the Mac App store. It should automatically load into your Applications folder.

    Once you have successfully installed the Traducto app, you are ready to create youruser account.

    Creating your Traducto User Account

    Your User Account is an important part of using Traducto. To create your User

    Account click on Login in the top right corner of the app. You will be prompted toenter your name, email address and a password. Your password must be at leastsix characters. Once you have filled in these fields, click Submit. This will createyour account and immediately log you in with your new account in Traducto.

    You do not have to login to get started, but you will need to login to complete theordering process. To place an order, you must be logged into your Account. Withoutan Account, you will not be able to order a translation. When you are logged in, the

    Login symbol will change to display your name. You can also log out of theapplication from your User Account.

    Now that the Traducto app is installed and you have created your account, lets takea quick look at the Dashboard.

    How to Use the Interface and Navigation

    Divided into four parts, the main Traducto Interface is designed to be easy tonavigate.

    Menu Bar: This is where you find all the primary navigation

    Bread Crumbs: These help you keep your place within the application

    Content View: Read this area for screen instructions, updates to the menu barand other actions

    Bottom Bar: Check your status here and look for highlighted information

    Menu Bar

    Lets start with the menu bar, remember it looks like this:

    Projects

    Click on the projects icon to create a new project, edit an existingproject or export a project to your computer. From Projects, you cansee a list of your project with a snapshot of the project progress. Byclicking on a project, you can open the project, add information andselect the language translations you would like to purchase.

    Cart

    Use the Cart to check out the languages you selected fortranslation in Projects. The Cart will display a notification icon tohelp you keep track of how many items you selected to purchase.

    Orders

    Orders gives you a detailed view of your current and past orders.From here, you can print an invoice or view the details of each order.You can also view the status of each language translation and theirestimated time of arrival (ETA) if not yet completed.

    About

    The About portion of the app provides you with the latest versioninformation and the update log for the app.

    User ProfileYour User Profile can be accessed by clicking on your name in thetop right corner of the app. If the User Profile is set to Login,then you will need to either login or create a new profile to proceedwith creating an order. Without a profile, you will not be able toorder a translation. You can also log out of the application from

    your User Profile.

    Support

    If you find something buggy, have a suggestion or just need helpusing the app, please use the Support icon in the top left corner of the app. From here you can submit your comments and supportitems.

    If you have a default language you are starting with that is NOT English,please review these pairings closely to ensure you can use Traducto foryour translation project.

    Using a non English Default LanguageIf you are starting with a default language that is not English, you cannot place anorder for translation until you have completed a translation to English. To translatefrom a non English language as your default language:

    1. Follow the Project steps below to create a new project.2. Select your appropriate default language. You will receive a message screen

    reminding you your default language is not English.

    3. Place your order following the Project steps below to receive a completed Englishtranslation.

    4. Once you receive your completed English translation, go back to the existingproject dashboard and additional languages to the cart.

    Please note, you will only be billed for your actual translations. If you use English asa non default language, you will be billed for both the English translation and theadditional translations you order.

    Traducto offers text and document translation services for a wide variety of content.Some examples include:

    Our translators understand complexity, and can translate everything from simplesocial posts to more detailed content like marketing brochures.

    How to Create a New Project

    Getting started with Traducto is easy, the first step is to create a new Projectfollowing these simple instructions:

    1. First, to create a new document, click on the + button on the far right side of theapp dashboard.

    The app will provide you with the option to create a Document. If you require different levels of translation service (Manual, Standard,

    Professional, Enterprise) for each document, you will need to create eachdocument as a separate project.

    Select Document. Documents allow you to translate any kind of text andcontent.

    You will get the New Document window, from there name the document andget started.

    Select Create

    2. Next, a screen will appear asking you to select the default language. Select thelanguage that represents the source language of your project. This is the currentlanguage of your content. Select one language and click on the Use as defaultlanguage button.

    3. Now, we need to include the content you would like to translate.

    You can write or paste the content in one or multiple rows into the table. If you need to create additional table rows, simply click on the + button in the

    far right corner of the app. Next to each row of the table, there is a comments field. Use this to provide

    context or add comments for your Translator. When you have finished entering your content for translation, and your

    comments for the translator, click on Done. And you will be taken to theProject Dashboard screen that looks like this:

    If you are able to complete your own translation manually, you can useTraducto as a project management tool to organize and manage yourtranslation and export them when you are ready.

    4. From this screen, you will select the languages for your translation by clicking onthe + icon. You may also click on the Pencil icon to edit your content orcomments before you submit the order. Add the languages you require, and then select the green Add to Cart icons

    for each selection. You will notice for each line the current status is set to 0%for completion.

    As you add items to your Cart, you will see the top navigation Cart icon beginto fill up, counting the number of items you selected.

    5. Next, click on the Cart icon in the top navigation. The screen will change to yourCart. From this screen you can see all the languages in your cart and the pricesfor each level of translation service. Make a selection regarding the type of translation you require. You have three choices for ordering translation service: Standard: Native speaker Professional: Translation by degreed professional Enterprise : Professional translation by a degreed processional and

    proofreading (2 unique reviewers)The choice of translation service can only be made by project. If you wantdifferent levels of translations per language you would need to place separateorders.Once you have made your selection, click on the Proceed to Checkout button.

    6. Checkout will ask you for all of your standard Billing and Payment information. You can select the Save in Address Book option if you do not want to reenter

    the information in future transactions. Complete the address and payment information, and be sure to read and

    accept the Terms and Conditions. You have the option to pay by credit card or with PayPal. Once you have accepted the Terms and Conditions, you can place your order

    by clicking on the Place Order Now button.

    7. When you place an order. The Order will automatically appear in the My Orders section of the app. This screen lists your Order Number, Order Date, the abilityto save the receipt in a PDF file or Print, the Order Total and the Status of yourOrder. For more details on the Order, click on the line item order number and thedetails will appear. You will also receive an email receipt for your order.

    Sometimes the Translator will have questions or comments for you regardingyour Order. If so, you will receive an email notification asking you to read anreply to the translator. As the Translator is working on your Order, you will receiveemail notifications regarding the status of the Order. While your translations arein progress with the Translator, you can see the estimated time it will take tocomplete your translation by selecting the Order Details in the My Orders tab.

    At any time you can click on the Refresh translations in progress button toupdate the status of your translations and download your translations if it is notautomatically done by the app. To order additional translations or add newcontent within your current project, all you need to do is add more rows in thedefault language screen and then place the order. Both the translated contentand the empty row will show on the screen, but only the empty row will be sentfor translation.

    8. When the Project is completed, you will be notified. In the My Orders portion of the app, you can view the actual translation by clicking on the "eye" icon to beredirected to the edit language screen.

    You can also view the status in the Projects tab or in the relevant project(s)dashboard. Once you order is completed, the Status will change to Complete andyou will be able to Export the content to your computer. If the status is notcomplete, then you will receive this message when you try to make an edit:

    9. When choosing to Export your Document, Traducto will create a separate text filefor each completed language. Then, you can download or Export each file toyour computer. The application will take all the completed languages and exporta text file for each of them. By default, the path is on your the desktop. Yourcomments and discussions with the translator, as well as any language that doesnot have the status Done, are not exported.

    Take a Poll

    Sometimes, we run Polls in the app to check in with you and see if you have anyrecommendations for improving the user experience. Polls are displayed in theProjects screen and provide you with the option to vote on features, tell us aboutyour experience or give us some insight on the frequency of use. Please take thetime to use the Polls, it helps us make the app even better!
