Originally the TDA directed its efforts the

developed markets, viz., the USA, Canada.

Western Europe including UK, Japan, Australia,

and New Zealand.

It is now being geared to operate in other

markets also.

OVERSEAS OFFICES:

TDA has three overseas offices in:

Frankfurt,

New York and Tokyo.

And has plans to open more such offices in

other world markets..

The integrated approach evolved by TDA is a

export promotion has three basic components,

namely,

Merchandising,

Research and analysis, and

Information.

The results of research and analysis activity

provide the perspective and the parameters of

operations in a given market. For the exporting

associates of TDA, the information activities

provide the basic assets of knowledge which

they must have in order to make a successful

entry into the market. The merchandisingactivities provide the micro level thrust aimed

at securing sustained business abroad.

In order to assist trade and industry in general,the trade development authority (TDA)publishes the results of its market research

activities regularly. The result of its adaptationprogram are made available to the units whoparticipate in them.

In addition, these reports provide theGovernment with a material required for policydecisions.

AT LAST

The Trade Information centre of TDA has been

equipped to disseminate overseas market

information in relation to countrys export

effort. it is in direct contact either the COC in

more than 100 countries and subscribes to a

wide variety of specialized journals and

periodicals. The information is scanned andproperly stored for easy and quick retrieval.

TDA has also been assigned the task of

carrying out the preparatory work for exploring

the possibilities of setting up a highly advanced

National Centre for Trade Information.
