STAGE I: a Government of India regulation -
Regulation of Export of Fresh Grapes from India through
monitoring of pesticide residues.
Standards to meet international market demands
Agencies to test compliance with these standards
And no export of fresh grapes can happen to
European Union without adhering to this system.
STAGE II: IT enable the regulation, compliance and
monitoring
integrating all the stakeholders in the supply chain
of Grapes export from India, with a centralized
database.
APEDA’s Implementation

Every consignment of fresh grapes during the last
season from India to European Union was
monitored through this system and no
consignment was rejected due to quality reasons.
The export of fresh grapes from India to European
Union consistently increasing every year since
implementation of GrapeNet.
The per unit realization for exporters directly and
farmers indirectly went up from previous years
due to the stringent standards defined and
monitored in the grapes sector in India.

GrapeNet: Introduction
GrapeNet is an internet based traceability software system, for monitoring fresh grapes exported to the European Union from India upto the farm level.
GrapeNet has put in place an end-to-end system for monitoring pesticide residue, achieve product standardization and facilitate tracing back from retail shelves to the farm of the Indian grower, through the various stages of sampling, testing, certification and packing.

GrapeNet: Highlights
The software can be easily used - anywhere, anytime, 24 by 7, by all authorized stakeholders, supported by a dedicated call center, with turnaround time of 2 to 10 minutes.
All they need to use is a commonly available web browser through their internet connection in a secured environment.
Zero paperwork and Zero mistakes
Completely credible and foolproof
No document can be issued without going through the software.
It has virtually reduced duplication in data capture and enables instant reference of previous steps in the supply chain.
The inbuilt checks and balances in the software ensure that the succeeding step can be carried out only if the preceding steps were successfully complied with.

GrapeNet: Highlights
Transparency in system: The result of every activity in the system is recorded and made available for next user in the supply chain, resulting in complete transparency.
Single window resolution: The single software system of Grapenet is used by all stakeholders, thereby providing a single window resolution online, inspite their physical location across the state/country
Ease of navigation: User-friendly, Menu driven design
Impact on service response time: Has removed many repetitive steps, there by reducing the overall response time required for any consignment
