“Summer Intern Program” Ages 14 –15: This is a “Counselor in Training” program. Interns will have the opportunity to develop work skills, attitudes and competencies that will assist them in becoming a camp counselor. A three week program designed for young teens to foster leadership skills and volunteerism. Applicant must submit an “Intern Application”.

Early Bird Discount for “Adventure Day Camp”

Residents can take advantage of our “Early Bird” Registration from April 1-30, 2018 for Adventure Day Camp. Early Bird Discounts do not apply to the cost of Memberships, Specialty Camps or Swimming Lessons. Free Camp T-shirt for the first 50 who register!

Payment Policy: All programs require pre-registration. A non-refundable deposit of $25 per child per week is required upon registration. In order to secure your registration, you must pay the balance due 2 weeks before the start of each session. If full payment has not been received by 2 weeks before the start of the session, we have the right to void your registration. Refunds: Refunds are issued only in the case of an extended illness with a doctor’s note. Cancellations: We retain the right to cancel a program due to low enrollment. Refunds will be granted in this case. Returned Check Fee: Our Town is charged a $30 bank fee which will be passed on to the customer. The funds need to be satisfied by certified check, money order, or cash. Please note: There is a $15 fee for changing your registration less than 2 weeks before the start of each session.

All Campers must have a 2018 “Health Information Sheet & Waiver “ with a current immunization record from physician with 2018 Camp Registration Form, Photo Release Form and “Campers Code of Conduct” package . Our 2018 Adventure Day Camp runs for seven weeks, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday

thru Friday, rain or shine. Children must have completed kindergarten by June 2018, and

can be no older than 13 by the end of the camp week. The camp is located at Hackett Hill,

but older groups may go on walking trips, to the movies, or for ice cream. The camp

provides an opportunity to participate in many fun activities with their peers such as; arts

and crafts, nature, theme, small group activities, swimming, and special events on Fridays.

Hackett Hill is inspected and regulated by The Dutchess County Board of Health. Staff

receive a mandatory pre-season camp training and are certified in CPR and First Aid as

required by law. Early Bird Registration: April 1-30: 10% discount for this day camp.

Sports Camp: July 30 - August 3 Ages 8 - 13 years. This camp focuses on playing a variety of sports, including basketball, soccer, tennis, kick ball, skateboarding and swimming. In case of rain, one of the HPCSD gyms will be used for indoor activities. Bring tennis racket, bag lunch and drink, hat, sunscreen, swim suit and towel. Campers go for a swim at end of day. Drop off at Pinewoods Park. Pick up at Hackett Hill.

Theater Arts Camp: July 30 - August 3

Campers will participate in a short play or two, while focusing on acting techniques such as stage awareness, character development, and self-awareness on stage. This will primarily be done through acting games and technique building exercises. The experience culminates with a final production on Friday. All supplies are included. 8:30 am —3:30 pm. Please pack a bag lunch, water bottle, and snack.

Spend a week going on day trips to unique and exciting adventures. Itineraries for the week will be released as dates become scheduled, so please check our Facebook page, website, and office. Campers will ride in a HPCSD School bus, which will leave shortly after 9:00 am with NO EXCEPTIONS, so please drop off on time. Bring Back-pack, swimsuit & towel, bagged lunch, water bottle, hat and sunscreen. Campers will aim to return by 4:00 but pick up times may be later. Ages 10-14. Must be a deep water swimmer. Reservations for Park Facilities

If you are interested in reserving the use of a park pavilion and park area for your special event, please call either the Recreation Office at 229-8086 or go online to www.hydeparknyt.us/Recreation and down-load the “Facility Use Application” with Terms and 2018 Fee Schedule.

Hackett Hill Park 59 East Market Street: The facilities include swimming pool, pavilion, grill, changing room & restrooms, Disc Golf Course, horseshoe pits, hik-ing trails, fishing, sports fields, and overnight group camping.

Pinewoods Park Pinewoods Road: Skate park, playground, 2 tennis courts, 2 basketball courts, ball field, restrooms, fishing, and Nature Trail. Small pavilion is available for reservation.

Riverfront Park River Road: Adjacent to Historic Hyde Park Train Station. Large pavilion, playgrounds, picnicing. Hyde Park Greenway Trailhead with hiking trail map. Large pavilion available for reservation.

Dinsmore Park Old Post Road, Staatsburg, next to Firehouse- Ball fields, basketball court, gazebo, 2 playgrounds, grill.

Greenfield Park Cream Street & Windmill Lane: Pavilion, picnic tables, handicapped swing, playground, ballfield, pond, fishing.

Beck Park E. Dorsey Lane & Beck Road: Playground, basketball court and multi-purpose field.

Doty Park Doty Lane off W. Market Street: Playground.

Greentree Park Greentree Drive off Route 9G: Ballfield.

With over 32 miles of hiking trails we are a part of the “Hudson River Greenway Trail”. The Trails are managed in partnership by The Town of Hyde Park, the National Park Service, Scenic Hudson Land Trust, Inc., Winnakee Land Trust, Inc., NYNJ Trail Conference and the Mid-Hudson ADK.

VOLUNTEERS!!! WE NEED YOU! We are looking for community groups and individuals who are interested in maintaining the trail system. Adopt-a-Trail and Adopt-a-Kiosk available for scout groups, etc.
