2121 PRODUCT ADVANTAGES OF THE THREE PIECE ROSE SYSTEM STANDARDS FOR KARCHER DESIGN PRODUCTS

The solid mounting plate with 7mmfixing lugs provides an easy assemblybase. Male/Female M4 fixing bolts ensurea robust bolt through connection. Thegrooves on the thread of the mountingplate keep the outer ring of the squarerose in the exact specified positions.

The square threaded rose with a thread onthe internal part is provided with two spring-bedded rasters. These ensure that therose clicks into place in a horizontal postitionor in a position rotated 45 degrees.

The sprung loaded hard wearing innerplate holds the lever handle and allowsquick assembly of the inner rose. Themodular design accommodates all thelever shapes. Projecting lugs give anaccurate assembly and ensure that thefittings are alligned correctly.

The threaded rose is screwed over the whole assembly offering a secure, safe and precise fitting. This rose can be unscrewed when required but will not work loose in normal use.

DIN EN 1906

This EUROPEAN NORM determines demands and testing procedures for lever sets and securitylever sets regarding their strength, non-corrosive stability, fire resistance, break-in security andfunctional efficiancy of durability. The norm classifies levers into 4 categories.KARCHER DESIGN levers are classified in the two highest categories.

Category of use 3 with safety for persons 0: • Tensile force = 800 N; remaining distortion ≤ 2 mm • Torque = 40 Nm; remaining distortion ≤ 5 mm • functional efficiancy of durability 200 000 cycles• suitalbe for frequent use with high risk of faulty use, e.g. for public office buildings

All KARCHER DESIGN stainless steel lever sets belong to corrosion class 3 with high non-corrosive stability.This means that due to ISO 9227 they will not show any visible corrosion after a 96 hour salty spray test.

All KARCHER DESIGN stainless steel lever sets are available in class 2 as well as class 4 for burglary resistance(classes 1 to 4).

All KARCHER DESIGN stainless steel lever sets are certified according to DIN EN 1906 for fire and smokedoor assemblies.

Furthermore, KARCHER DESIGN products are tested to different international standards such as DIN EN 179(for emergency exits) and DIN 18273 (for fire doors).
