In 21st century, ASEAN has established highly sophisticated production network covering all over ASEAN.

- never seen before in the modern history, nor other areas in the world - legacy concepts might be invalid( traditional Division of Labor between Developed (capital intensive, high technology) and Developing economies (labor intensive, low technology))

Thus !1. Proper concept (framework of understanding) of grasping this ASEAN production network is significantly important !

2. Proper strategy of enhancing this ASEAN production network issignificantly important !

What’s the point of ASEAN now?

APEN is an international network organization among universitiesand related organizations.

- Established in June, 2011- Covering All AMS (10) plus China, Japan and Korea- Secretariat in AIIT (Advanced Institute of Industrial Technology)

1.CIS (Credibility Index for SMEs)= Michelin Star System for SMEs

- Different from other rating systems for credibility of corporate bonds- Focusing on Technology and Human Resource Power(difficult, but significantly important)- consists of 200 check points- Compiled the Base Model- Localization to AMS

2. ACFi (Asian Community Finance Initiative)- Established in Nov. 2013- An APEN Committee- 3 Shinkin Banks participation- Preparing seminars in most of AMS

*Community Finance- not-for-profit- Regional community development as a main task- SMEs and micro-enterprises as main targets- Loan, with reputation mechanism in the community as mortgage
