In the distant future humans develop the ability to wield superhuman powers. Humanity decided to exploit these new powers for monetary gain. A new sport was invented where superhumans were pit against superhumans in an epic battle of strength, intellect and constitution. There will be only one victor.

Comic book style graphics. Perhaps a “POW!” appears over a player’s head when they get hit

Large explosions, bright energy attacks, etc. Comic book battles are usually way over the top and “epic”

Perhaps a combination of the graphics of Team Fortress 2 with the style of XIII

The player should be able to create their own character Several sections with different choices like:

Movement – super speed, flight, super jump, etc Primary attack – Energy blast, gravity control, etc Secondary attack – melee attacks or other “soft

attacks” Defensive ability – temporary shield, size

reduction

Player should achieve objectives of chosen map/game type

The main motivation would be to win the game. Nothing unlike the motivation for a sport game or first person shooters in general

The main strategy is to create a character that supports your playing style Offensive character – Big attacks, little defense Defensive character – Smaller attacks,

supporting abilities Hybrid character – One medium attack, one

medium defense Healing character?

Different games modes Deathmatch – No teammates, meet a certain

number of kills first to win Team Deathmatch – Have small “parties” of

players, maybe four or five people and fight other parties. Major difference is having more than two teams.

Story mode can have player fighting against NPCs and making their way to the top of the tournament (Game is geared more toward multiplayer)

Permanent character – Level up, acquire abilities as you play more, etc

Large permanent server (MMOish) – Large battlefield where many people can play, fight for control of “nodes”, buy equipment or mercenaries
