huila´s name

Huila´s name has an indigenous origin and means “orange” or in the paez languaje “luminous mountain” referring to huila´s majestic snowcap mountain, our highest andean montaingtop at 5.750 mts above sea level , from which the name is taken.

• The Tatacoa Desert is a pleasant site of real interest for every person who enjoys life in places that posses a strong natural component. for that reason, going over stony and dusty roads and paths allows for the breathing of pure air from a clean atmosphere, also you can enjoy the visual wonders of a remote landscape, where nature work stays untouched in a great part over its extension.

• The huila´s snow capped volcano national park , holds the two most important basinsin colombia. This “colombian macizo” is strategic point because of its environmental goods and services that in can offer.
