Nature exhibition

The Lech River all the way to Füssen is one-of-a-kind! It‘s the last wild river in the northern alpine region and as an alpine wild river is still allowed to do for long stretches what every mountain river once could – spreading out and charting its own course using its own power. Arms of the river branch off and reunite. Rocks from the tributary valleys become mighty gravel banks and bars. The only constant with the Lech River until Füssen is constant change.Vast riparian forests, clear outlet lakes and the moun-tains of the Allgäu and Lechtal Alps are among the most scenic and primeval landcsape areas in the Alps.Join in and immerse yourself into the realm of the ”last wild one“ – that‘s possible in the nature exhibition ”The last wild one“. At various stations, visitors can explore the last wild river landscape in the Northern Alps. The Tyrolean Lech River is unique – see for yourself!
