infrared light. The filter will filter the signal and give to the motion

senor. The sensor will recognize the gesture and give signal

ADVANTAGES

It have long life than the touch screen technology.

It is very easy to operate.

It is a reliable technology when comparing to others.

It offering operation with no time loss.

Some of the touchscreens which are placed in public place like railway station, airport , etc are causing spreading of germs to others. Touchless technology ignoring this problem.

Touching continuasly on screen decreases the sensitivity of touchscreens. Touchless controlling has no such problems.

DISADVANTAGES

Cost of this technology is high, when comparing to other technology

It have complex design

Complex design cause difficult when maintenance is needed

Muliple persons controlling same time make difficult.

For image-based gesture recognition there are limitations on the equipment used and image noise.

It have many scopes in automation field.

In robotics, it can be used for creating advanced robots

In future, all the touch screens may replaced by touchless controlling technology.

CONCLUSION

Today’s thoughts are again around user interface. Efforts are being put to better the technology day-in and day-out. The Touchless touch screen user interface can be used effectively in computers, cell phones, webcams and laptops. May be few years down the line, our body can be transformed into a virtual mouse, virtual keyboard and what not??, Our body may be turned in to an input device!
