Innovation for High Effi ciency

Double Cyclone®

TOTO engineers devised a revolutionary way to harness the power of water and gravity to create a more powerful 1.28 gallons per fl ush (GPF) that maximizes cleaning action. Using two nozzles (instead of rim holes), this TOTO-only technology uses water more effi ciently for a better rim and bowl wash, while directing more water to the siphon for a more powerful fl ush.

E-Max®

Unlike pressure assist toilets, which can be noisy and made with complex moving parts, E-Max is a simple, elegant and quiet solution for effectively fl ushing 1.28 gallons. E-Max reinforces TOTO’s performance reputation with a three-inch fl ush valve and an extra-large siphon jet that combines with a large glazed trapway to pull away waste with incredible force.

Dual-Max®

The Dual-Max fl ushing system conserves water by allowing you to select the appropriate amount of water usage from 0.9 to 1.6 GPF. Unlike traditional dual-fl ush toilets that sacrifi ced performance or conservation, Dual-Max proves TOTO’s engineering supremacy by employing a balanced approach that addresses fl ushing mechanisms plus bowl and trapway design and glazing options.

SanaGloss®

This technologically-advanced ceramic glaze, exclusive to TOTO, permanently seals your china’s surface with a state-of-the-art ionized barrier and helps create balanced fl ushing that separates TOTO from the competition. SanaGloss actually repels particles and prevents staining while reducing the growth of bacteria and mold. High-Effi ciency Toilets

TOTO high-effi ciency toilets (HET) exceed the standards that should be met for true water savings and customer satisfaction: they fl ush using at least 20% less water than is mandated by law and do their job in one fl ush; they require minimal cleaning to reduce cleaning detergents; and they out-perform even competitor toilets that use more water.

TOTO EcoPower fl ush valves offer easy installation without the cost and

downtime required to install power supplies and wiring for each valve.

With EcoPower, a water-powered turbine charges the power supply during usage, eliminating the need for battery replacement and excessive waste. TOTO’s piston valve technology is a marked improvement over traditional rubber diaphragm-type valves, and a self-cleaning 360° debris screen reduces common problems such as continuous running and fl ooding, signifi cantly reducing maintenance costs as well as water waste.

Eco-friendly, superior performing fl ushing is easy to achieve with TOTO’s 1.28 GPF high-effi ciency commercial toilets and urinals. When combined with Flushometer valves, our HEUs only use an average of 0.5 GPF and the commercial HETs can use as little as 1.0 GPF. TOTO’s commitment to ecology shows in our products and technology and also in our operations around the globe. In fact, we strive to go “beyond compliance” in every endeavor, whether is it engineering high-effi ciency toilets and showers or implementing a closed-loop paper-recycling system. Other ways that TOTO shows leadership in environmental responsibility include:

• Redirecting imperfect and damaged china for roadbed construction instead of generating more waste

• Recycling post industrial gray water within our operations to reduce potable water consumption

• Using soybean-based oils in our hydraulic systems that are more biodegradable and a renewable source

• Recycling plastics, brass, pallets, and even computer equipment to lessen impact on the environment

• Reducing everyday water use in our offi ces as well as recycling everyday consumables, like aluminum and offi ce paper

• Ensuring that all facilities are ISO 9000 and ISO 14000 certifi ed

TOTO is the only plumbing manufacturer conducting Lifecycle Analysis for its products, helping us track the environmental impact and measure the carbon footprint of products. This includes measuring everything from raw materials and manufacturing impact through usage and disposal of products. The process helps TOTO identify ways to further our sustainability efforts from “cradle to grave.”
