It gives us great pleasure to introduce ourselves and our pigeons in this fantastic brochure. First let us give you a little background information about us. Our partnership consists of Les Green, Garry Wall and Ray Lunt and we race in partnership as Wall, Lunt & Green. We are 3 normal guys who have been friends for almost 30 years. We have all raced pigeons since our early teens and we are now approaching 50 and 60 years of age. We became pigeon partners in 1994 and raced our first races together in 1995. Before we became partners we raced separately and we all enjoyed good success with relatively mediocre pigeons. When we became partners we decided we needed to bring in better pigeons and we immediately set out to find the very best that were available. To help us in our quest we placed a small advertisement in the NPO and De Duif magazines in Belgium and Holland asking fanciers to contact us if they had a collection of back copies of the two magazines that they were willing to sell. We were contacted by a fancier in Holland who had 25 years of NPO magazines with every single edition. We paid him his price and we set off to Holland in a large van to pick them up. Over the long winter nights we thumbed through many of them looking at nothing but results, we paid no attention to advertisements, we were only interested in the race results. After a couple of months we had picked out certain names that kept on coming up with top results. We made contact, visited with them and when we were happy with what we saw, we bought as many as we could from the top performers and breeders and also purchased as many of the top performers we could. These pigeons became the backbone of our loft and the same policy has been practised ever since.

We have worked tirelessly for 18 years to develop our current team of pigeons. Over this period we have travelled all over Europe and visited many, many lofts to find the best pigeons we could to bring to our own lofts and integrate them into our family. We have been very fortunate in that in 2002 we started our Northern Premier Auctions business and this opened doors to some of Europe’s elite fanciers, names such as Gerard Koopman, Pieter Veenstra, Marcel Sangers, Piet and Peter v/d Merwe, Bas Verkerk, Henri van Venrooij. Harm Vredeveld. Hugo Batenburg, Emile Denys, Co & Piet Verbree, Bertie Camphuis, Nico van Nordenne, Andreas Drapa, Edwin Hoogland, Alwyn Petrie all became clients of ours. This gave us a golden opportunity to become friends with all the above fanciers and has led to us purchasing some truly wonderful pigeons from their lofts. These pigeons have been blended together with our own winning team to form a formidable family of super performers and producers that win and produce winners for us and for fanciers all over the world. The introduction of pigeons from many of the above names have helped us to become a household name in the UK and has brought us to the very top in our sport. It is true to say that we can now be classed as one of, if not the best sprint-middle distance loft in England today.

We have never introduced any pigeons without first giving the fancier a thorough researching, we wanted to know everything there was to know about them and we left no stone unturned and only when we were 100% satisfied with all the answers did we seek an introduction, then we had to like the pigeons as we had a certain type of bird that we wanted , they had to be as close to perfect as possible and we have always had a very strict selection policy.

Now sadly we have decided that all this has to come to an end as the time has come for the partnership to end. This is not something that we planned for, it is simply that the partnership has come to a natural conclusion. The sale will bring with it a large slice of sadness as we see our fantastic team of pigeons sold all over the world, 18 years of hard work that has seen us enjoy some truly fantastic memories. Once we started to look back over the last 18 years results to compile the necessary paperwork for the information on the pigeons some wonderful memories of past successes has been relived and we would like to give you an insight to some of our proudest achievements.

Since the formation of our partnership in 1995 we have won a total of 715 first prizes and 205 first federation prizes.This is an average of 40 first prizes every year for the past 18 seasons and an average of 11 first federations per season against an average of over 2000 birds.We have been champions of the federation every year since we formed our partnership in 1995.

This despite never competing in a full race programme often missing as many as 10 races per season and despite having to move loft location 3 times in 5 yearsWe have won 7 x 1st Nationals including winning the first 8 positions twice plus many first prizes from across the Channel up to 7.906 birds competing. We Have Also Won An Incredible 10 R.P.R.A. Meritorious Awards. We have produced National, Classic, Combine, Amalgamation, Federation, Open, One Loft Race and RPRA Award winners for many fanciers all over the UK and abroad. We currently house the best team of pigeons we have ever owned and our results just get better and better. Over the last few seasons we have had to move loft location 3 times because the opposition keep running away and have formed new organisations that have not allowed us to become members. This is the price we have had to pay for our success.
