EXPLORE Lady Elliot Island is a coral cay situated at the southern tip of Australia’s iconic Great Barrier Reef, approximately 80 kilometers north-east of Bundaberg and nestled in between Fraser Island and Lady Musgrave Island. Lady Elliot Island is the closest Great Barrier Reef island to Brisbane, Queensland’s southern capital and can be accessed via scenic flight from Bundaberg, Hervey Bay/Fraser Coast, Brisbane (Redcliffe) and the Gold Coast. Lady Elliot is only 42 Hectares (100 acres) in size, small enough to walk around in 45 minutes.

In keeping with the natural, eco-friendly practices there are no telephones, television, radios or Wi-Fi available in the rooms. Limited Wi-fi available in the restaurant.

2 Bedroom Island Suites (5)Situated directly on the beachfront, the spacious two bedroom Island Suites have a separate bathroom and accommodate up to four people. The main bedroom has a queen size bed and the second bedroom contains two single beds. The bedrooms are fan cooled and there is a separate air-conditioned lounge room with a balcony. Each suite is equipped with a mini fridge, tea & coffee making facilities and a microwave.

Reef Units (13) & Garden Units (11) Arranged in blocks of three, the Reef & Garden Units are ideal for couples or families, offering either a queen bed or a combination of a queen and single bunk beds. Each unit is slightly elevated, featuring polished timber floors, bathroom and a balcony to make the most of the views. The Reef Units are located less than 10 metres from the beach and the Garden Units are within 20 to 30 metres walk to the beach. The units are fan cooled and have a mini fridge along with tea & coffee making facilities.

Eco Cabins (12) Situated within 20 to 30 meters walk from the beach, the Eco Cabins are permanent safari style tents with polished timber floors and shared bathroom facilities. Each cabin caters to four people with two sets of single bunk beds. Electric lighting and power points are available in every cabin as well as a freestanding fan. A small patio is furnished with a table and chairs for added relaxation.

TRANSFERS: The only public access to Lady Elliot Island is via aircraft. Seair Pacific operates the air charter service for Lady Elliot Island and offers daily flights from the Gold Coast (Coolangatta), Brisbane (Redcliffe), Hervey Bay/Fraser Coast and Bundaberg. Regular flights are available from Sydney, Brisbane and other major Australian cities to the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Hervey Bay/Fraser Coast, Bundaberg. Queensland Rail offers regular services between Brisbane and Hervey Bay or Bundaberg enabling access to Lady Elliot Island. Hervey Bay is located approximately 3.5 hours drive north of Brisbane and 2.5 hours north of the Sunshine Coast, via the Bruce Highway.
