Written and Performed by: Danny Braverman.directed by: Nick Philippou. breadandcircuses.uk.comPremiering to critical acclaim at this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe, bread&circuses’ new one-man show takes audiences on a captivating journey spanning decades. In 1926 shoemaker Ab Solomons drew on the wage-packet he gave to his wife Celie. Throughout their marriage, right up until the early eighties, Ab had drawn a wage-packet cartoon every week for her. These cartoons, with blistering honesty, through all their ups and downs, chronicled Solomons’ family life.
Danny Braverman’s solo show tells the funny and moving story of how he discovered the lost art of his Great-uncle. Wot? No Fish!! is an extraordinary story about love and art, history… and catering.“…reflecting in the end on the way we turn to the past to make sense of the present,” The Times.

Before Your Very Eyes
For the first time in their 17 year history, Gob Squad do not appear onstage themselves, instead directing a group of 8-14 year olds. As the audience observe them in a “safe-room” made of one-way mirrors like insects in a jam jar, the children onstage peer into the future at themselves as adults, and nostalgically back at their recent past.
A man and woman are on stage. Two dancers, two generations. Koen is 32 years old, Alphea is 88. Together they bridge the gap between young and old, and 60 years of dance history, in a balancing act between the wishes and limitations of the human body. Journey brings two generations closer.

What would happen if the law of gravity was to suddenly change?
// APRIL
LEO
“An eye-teasing, grin-inducing, deeply impressive work,” Time Out NewYork.LEO is a solo physical theatre piece that challenges our sense of gravity and reality through the clever interplay of superlative acrobatic performance and high tech video projection. Universally appealing to adults and children alike, this is the funny, intriguing and moving journey of a seemingly ordinary man whose world becomes physically unhinged.From the Edinburgh Fringe Festival to New York, Moscow and Hong Kong, the multi-award winning show LEO is a one man, one-of-a-kind physical theatre piece that defies theatrical convention as brilliantly as it does the law of gravity. Jaws will drop as LEO takes “off the wall” to a whole new level.
AWARdS: Best Of Edinburgh, Threeweeks Editors’, Scotsman Fringe First, Adelaide critic’s circle, John chattaway Innovation
“There’s a playfulness to the delivery and a warmth to the narrative that makes it a fantastic festival outing for families. A small festival gem,” The Guardian.“It’s unusual to hear so many child-like gasps of sheer delighted astonishment in a theater,” The Village Voice [USA.]
“Highly likely to have you on your feet by the end… mind-bending, illusionistic and spellbinding,” The Edinburgh Reporter
