Toll System Features• The toll management system comprises of hardware (including TLC, AVC,

Sensors, booth equipments, LED equipments, enforcement equipments) & software (including data reporting and synchronization, audit, ETC analysis).

• The process flow for cash and ETC transaction comprises of visual (toll collector, AVC classification & validation)

• The cash up comprises of consolidation (TC and STC), bank administrator and Escrow bank

• The validation is done including the review of images captured

• Aforesaid multilevel check system ensures 100% integrity of the system. The multilevel system comprises of booth level, AVC, validation and audit.

Vehicle departs from the Lane** THE EXIT LOOP RETURNS TO NORMAL STATE AND SENDS MSG TO THE BOOM TO CLOSE. TC CAN PROCEED WITH THE

NEW TRANSACTION.

The Collection Process

TC has to do a physical verification of the vehicle and class it accordinglyEG: Class 01

Method of payment is done by the TC according to the userEG: Cash

Automatic Vehicle Classifier is the system check on the TC classEG: Class 01

Avc will send a message to TCand give clearance to process next vehicle.

Height Sensors

Boom Barrier

Loops generates magnetic field in the road to detect the presence of a vehicle.Treadles are used for counting axles and for double wheel detection.Height sensors at various heights will help identify height parameters between different class of vehicles.Boom barrier will open once MOP has been given and will close on clearance of Exit loop.

If there is an AVC discrepancy

TC has to do a physical verification of the vehicle and class it accordinglyEG: Class 01

Method of payment is done by the TC according to the userEG: Cash

Automatic Vehicle Classifier is the system check on the TC classEG: Class 06

Avc will still send a message to TC and give clearance to process next vehicle, but an image will be taken of the vehicle and sent to Validation.

How is a Transaction File Created

• Generation of a Toll Transaction File in a lane– Vehicle enters the lane– The toll collector visually classifies the vehicle and selects the

appropriate toll category– The toll system displays the category selected by the toll collector on

the UFD– The toll system displays the required toll fare on the UFD– When the amount tendered is equal to or greater than the toll fare, the

toll system : Generates a receipt – The system opens the gate– When the vehicle clears the gate, the gate is closed, the traffic light is

set to red & the UFD display is cleared– As the vehicle exits the toll lane, the vehicle is classified by the AVC

system
