President

Kotonori Nagatomi

In 1937, the imagination to become the

"Largest pneumatic tool manufacturer in

the East" is today a worldwide represen-

tative manufacturer for pneumatic tools.

Earnestly, since the founding of our com-

pany, the policy of quality first has always

been our spirit for manufacturing and we

continue to make strong efforts in this

area. Always trying to understand the

market needs and period, making contin-

uous changes and improvements to our

products have resulted in this position.

Also, from the context of manufacturing

we have introduced the most advanced

technology and equipment in order to

move ahead with automation and to make

our best efforts to balance the 3 elements

of quality, price and supply. All manufac-

turing facilities have obtained the interna-

tional standard of quality control ISO

9000 series and in addition have ob-

tained the Environmental standard of

ISO14000 series.

In addition, a learning center "Terakoya"

was established within the main factory to

develop and improve on technological

developments. Making such continuous

and tireless efforts to improve on the

technical side. In this age of continuous

globalization of markets and products,

Toku will continue to pass on the foun-

ded traditions of manufacturing by com-

bining staff and technology to develop

and rapidly progress into the upcoming

future. We appreciate the continued sup-

port and patronage for Toku by our cus-

tomers for the upcoming future.

Quality first is the policy we will challenge in this globalized market

This is Toku's Corporate symbol

"Moving Circle". This identity symbolizes

the power and amplification for growth

and development. Toku will use this mark

as a flagship symbol to continue to challenge

for the future.

Page 3: TOKU PNEUMATICToku Pneumatic Co., Ltd. was in-creased to 100 million JPY. 1975 Oct. Established a joint venture with the worlds largest pneumatic tool manu-facturer, Chicago Pneumatic

Toku first started manufacturing air tools for

the mining industry, as a result construction

air tools have become a center piece to its

product line. From general construction

workes to mining applications, paving

breakers to rock drills, in addition rotoham-

mers and cutters providing a full range of

construction air tool products for all needs.

Also, offering various options and wide

variety for the needs to all markets around

the world. Worldwide popularity and the

recent trends for tools with anti-vibration,

sound proof and light weight tools are better

for the human body.

Toku is constantly ma-

king strong efforts in

developing these tools

for the customer and

capturing the needs

from the market.

Toku today is well known in the automotive

aftermarket and general industry air tool

market for its performance, and is highly

evaluated as one of the top manufacturers

in this industry especially concerning its im-

pact wrenches, which is now one of the

worlds highest ranked manufacturers. In

addition Toku supplies a wide variety of

other products such ratchet wrenches, drills,

air hammers, sanders, jig-saw and grinders.

The industries which

Toku supplies these

products are mainly

to the automotive

maintenance cen-

ters, tire replacement

and body shops.

In addition, impact

wrenches manufac-

tured by Toku are

now used at the as-

sembling lines in up-

coming international

countries.

As extension of air tools in 1982 Toku suc-

ceeded in developing the hydraulic breaker

with accumulator free structure and light

weight design. The Toku hydraulic breaker

has a reputation of being durable and reli-

able. Recently, applications which were per-

formed using an Air Breaker are now being

performed more using a small hydraulic

breaker and its requirements are increasing

each year. At Toku, we offer the mid- size, to

large-size hydraulic breakers. We also offer a

full line of small hydraulic breakers. In addi-

tion, we offer low sound features, underwater

versions and breakers for tunnel work.

Depending on the working environment and

the size of the excavator, Toku can select the

correct model for the

application. Also, Toku

continues to make strong

efforts in the development

of hydraulic breakers with

more power, less vibra-

tion and low sound levels

which will contribute to

the environment and the

end user.

Lifting, lowering, moving material in all types

of industries is material handling products.

Toku's Air Chain hoist has been used to im-

prove the working environment of material

handling for the past 60 years and has de-

veloped much reliability in this industry. Op-

erated by Compressed air, there is not dan-

ger of explosion due to spark. The main

features are its compact size, light weight

and easy to handling characteristics. It also

has powerful performance. Offering a full

product range from 140 kgs to 25 ton ca-

pacity unit. Used in heavy industry fields

such as in mining, ship building and petro-

chemical plants. In addition the air hoists are

used in general industry

such as assembly of

products in factories and

other work station re-

quirements. Other hoists

include a small manipula-

tor hoist and a full range

of air winches. Toku's

biggest advantage and

characteristic is the air

chain hoists and other

pneumatic tools can be all

supplied by Toku for all of

these industries.

3D Machining Center

The total development concept of "product to the manufacturing line" , will guarantee Toku's quality

Continuous research and development has sup-

ported the quality and reliability of Toku brand

products. All products are designed using the lat-

est CAD systems and thoroughly tested for perfor-

mance and durability before they become accep-

ted as a product to be marketed. In addition, the

contents of the material to machining technology,

improving the manufac-

turing line and quality as

well as reducing the

manufacturing costs

constantly coexist as a

challenge to manufac-

turing at Toku.

With regards to the ex-

isting products, we

continue to collect information from the end-users

to change and improve our products. We continue

our efforts in sound proofing, anti-vibration and to

reduce the weight of tools, but continuous efforts

are made in reviewing the work environment and

ergonomics in the development of products.

3D CAD System

Automated In-house heat treatment, and the effort to coexist in quality and cost.

The coexistence of quality and cost is the

endless theme of the manufacturing de-

partment. Toku's high quality is the pro-

position and we have explored these

issues at an early stage, using automation

and robots in the manufacturing process,

reducing the number of machining staff,

but to increase efficiency. At the same

time, machining of material to heat

treatment of parts are all performed with-

in the factory. Improving the quality of our

products continues to be the most im-

portant agenda. Especially concerning Air

tools and Hydraulic breakers which are

affected greatly by the way heat treat-

ment is performed. This process is taken

care of by a separate heat treatment de-

partment which has accumulated an

abundance amount of knowledge and

technology. Also, small production lots,

manufacturing several different types of

parts can also be accomplished.

Each process is thoroughly inspected to realize a high quality product.

Toku's tradition to quality is realized

through quality inspection procedures

from durability tests at the time of de-

velopment to the precision measuring

inspection procedures during the

manufacturing process. In addition, all

products are tested for proper perfor-

mance levels.

This type of production has developed

a total quality control system which

develops a high quality product.

For the Development of the Toku Brand Name -To become a supplier with attractive Features-

Founded in 1955, Toku Pneumatic Co., Ltd has

continued to market Toku brand products manu-

factured by Toku Pneumatic Tool Mfg. Co., Ltd.

and Yamada Iron Works.

Having 7 domestic sales offices, 2 product ware-

houses which market and service our products

within a complete company structure.

Early for our industry, in 1968, with the intention

to develop international markets, the International

Division was founded. Presently having distribu-

tion in over 60 countries, Toku is now a recog-

nized international brand name.

Recently, to take measures for the changing

needs in the construction industry, Toku Pneu-

matic changed from being an exclusive manufac-

turer for pneumatic tools to successfully develop-

ing a hydraulic breaker product line.

To become a general supplier for pneumatic and

hydraulic construction products, Toku has

become a worldwide contender in this market. On

the other hand, Toku developed a joint venture

with the most prestigious worldwide pneumatic

tool manufacturer for automotive tools, Chicago

Pneumatic Tool Company. This developed mar-

keting versatility as an impact wrench supplier, as

a result reaching a high international level of

standard. We are also challenging to develop

new industrial tools (Aircraft, shipbuilding,

Nuclear energy and off shore drilling) for these

new markets adding diversification and growth in

these areas.

Internationalizing the markets, expanding the

sales network worldwide in each country and de-

veloping the needs to reorganize the distribution

network, In 2002 Toku founded a sales company

called "Shanghai Toku" in China to develop close

ties with the customer in this ever expanding large

market.

In 2010 Toku America Inc was founded in the

suburb of Cleavland OH as USA branch for the

purpose of increasing sales and offering service of

hydraulic breakers and attachments.

In the globalization of world market, we will con-

tinue to make strong efforts to build and expand

our products.

Entering the 21st century, pneumatic and hydrau-

lic products entered the age of reduction in

sound, anti-vibration, compact, light weight and

powerful tools for upcoming end user needs. Toku

brand products have targeted these needs,

strengthening its international market competitive-

ness, aiming to market high quality, and high per-

formance tools. Endlessly continuing the pursuit

of "Tools which have Attractive Features" to sat-

isfy customer needs.
